Sometimes the idea of being killed by a civilian throwing small rocks while wearing a helmet seems a bit over the top.
Fair enough if the sneaky civilian drops a rock the size of a watermelon from the thrid story onto my noggin...
I have noticed that the civilians now have a much longer sprint than they once did, making it virtually impossible to catch one. The best option is of course having a team mate behind them which they haven't noticed.
Since we can't actively tackle them or otherwise "grab" them but must rely on stabbing, which can be a challenge if you have a high ping - I find that they can be a pretty serious pain in the A.
I really love the class and certainly don't want it changed drastically because it is the first concept of it's kind in any FPS, anywhere. (Fantastic).
Therefore, how about a slight alteration of the civilian class:
Maybe one of these will tickle you fancy (definitely not all of them or no-one will play civilian).
Perhaps:
1. Make their rocks only cause high suppression and no damage.
2. Rocks do less damage (Next to none ) and some suppression.
3. Civilian sprint distance reduced slightly - maybe halfway between what it is now (?) and how it was in .70X. So soldiers at least have a chance of catching them without running halfway across a city (scale is a problem)
4. Set it up so civilians are captured if they simply touch an enemy soldier (i.e. no need to stab, only touch). Not sure about this one - it's fun to stab and not really that hard. Satisfying(?) as well.
5. Give Squad leaders (or somebody) some tear gas to scare the little Pr*cks off or disorientate them, ready for the mass arrest.
Anyway, they are slippery buggers (good) but also not to be taken lightly with the cumulative rock-chucking damage and the fact that you just can't run one down within 400 metres (the old ambush situation.)
civilians are a bit too bold because they're biggest danger is getting run over!
What do other people think?
Civilian rocks only suppress, not damage

But having a squad of all civilians and ganging up on lone wolfing brits to stone them to death is one of the highlights of PR!
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

its not reallstic that solider , with helmet, armor etc, get killed by 4-5 stones
i think that it should do a little damage(between 1-5%) and a special effect but not suppresion effect. there should be other effect.. and if civi hit on solider helmet/armored part in body, it will do no damage or only 1% damage.. and civis should have bigger stone, that do something like 10-15% damage but its takes more time to throw it.. and i think that grappling hook should be removed.. IRL i dont think that civis use grappling hook.. instead give grapple hook to engineer/rifleman/officer of brits in insurgency maps..
and make that if civi get smashed by brit vehicle, the brit get punishment, but half of original(instead 10 mins without kit rquest, 5 mins etc..) cause now brits smashing civis instead arresting them

Grapples are to simulate civis giving access to their homes.DannyIMK wrote:its not reallstic that solider , with helmet, armor etc, get killed by 4-5 stones
