That exactly my point!MonkeyNutz wrote:Support weapons are always a pain in the arse to get right, the fact is they are accurate and this is a Realism mod so how do making something useful with out making it the ultimate spamming weapon?
I know that the MGs might be this accurate (but i still guess they are too accurate), but the biggest problem is that ppl are tending to spam the "best" weapon (i guess the same ppl where playing the Spec Ops at VBF2) so its necessary to implement some kind of "class restriction" to end the "best-weapon" spamming!

I have heard that class restriction cannot be done thanks to DICE's wonderful coding. I too think that there should be class restrictions on support. But I don´t think that the accuracy is gonna be changed in anyway, it's not worth the sacrifice of realism. One suggestion though it that whenever you lie down you would have to place the gun and make arrangements with the ammo an so forth. The few lucky times that I got to spray with Kulspruta 58 (b), in america called -US M240G Medium Machine Gun- it took some times to place it, arrange with the ammobox and for my loader to take care of gun jamming and so on. Machineguns are accurate in general, but it takes time and effort to make it shootable.

You got to to use the Ksp58(FN MAG) a few times and I understand that it took some time getting into firing position and start firing.
I have a lot of experience with almost all swedish infantry weapons and I bet my experience shaves down the time to get firing bigtime.
First of all I don´t need a loader, in a five man recon squad there was no one who could act as a loader. Ammoboxes where used to transport ammo and when setting up fixed defences(very rare), at all other times we used cloth ammo pouches attached to the gun with 100-150 7.62x51 rounds in it and changed them as they ran out. Another trick was to strap a ammo crate/box to your backpack frame and improvise a feed over the shoulder for 1000+ belted rounds of mayhem, not to agile in that rig but it sure was fun
btw, there is nothing wrong with support weapon accuracy as it is. We used the FN MAG for mineclearing in training and then you fired single shots at small targets, worked like a charm. The MINIMI is also very accurate as compared to its performance in vanilla BF2.

maybe they can make it so the gun overheats quicker.MonkeyNutz wrote:Support weapons are always a pain in the arse to get right, the fact is they are accurate and this is a Realism mod so how do making something useful with out making it the ultimate spamming weapon?
how about a left to right, up and down, restricions, i mean the guns on a bi-pod, so it should only have so much movement.

I agree with you flyboy, running over in an fav is a fair tactic. The reason it was so effective earlier was because when there are few people to shoot at the buggy it's hard to stop. Try that on a game with thirty people or more and you're dead.

The support class, the lmg's are fair, but they can't carry ammo bags with it
the m24, when will it be fixed?

Don't like:
- Too many MG's
- If e.g US has taken all flags, ticket count should reach zero almost immediatly. Now its just a pain searching for the one mec sniper hinding somewhere.
- I played for like 8 months and got plenty of unlocks, but cant use them anymore. But I dont want to play vanilla BF2.
- AT class MUST have a MP5 or similar. Realistic without? No.
- BUG: I sometimes meet teammates with no tag at all.
- Just about everything else

Please, enough of this SAW bashing, you guys sound like a bunch of Vanilla idiots.
Personally I don't find a problem with the SAW now that the RPK has been improved. The RPK is now just as deadly, if not more deadly than the SAW. The only problem was pre-0.25 when the SAW was the best gun and the RPK completely sucked, but that is fixed now. Personally I think they're both perfect and shouldn't be changed.
Also, the M24 has been fixed, if you still can't use it right, I suggest you choose a different class. I mean how many people do we need running around the map with sticks and feces glued to their faces? Snipers don't do much help for the team anyway, unless they are really good at it, which not many snipers are. Honestly, I think sniping is an excuse to hide like a little girl and get some cheap kills. However if a sniper moves with his squad, and engages targets thet are out of reach for the rest of his squad, like he is supposed to be doing, that is alright.
Seriously guys, all this complaining about stuff makes me feel like I'm back at TotalBF2. If everyone got their way, we'd have a game like, uh, I don't know, Vanilla BF2? A game where everything is nerfed to a level unmatched by any other game. If we keep going down this path we'll all be throwing marshmellows at each other while riding in tricycles.

This is a realism mod, how many Marines do you see running around with 60 year-old PKMs?I played for like 8 months and got plenty of unlocks, but cant use them anymore. But I dont want to play vanilla BF2.

Oh I forgot one "Don't like":
- Uncappable flags should have some sort of protection against baserapers. More than obvious on Oasis.
