And then u 'otta re-do the lightmap. which can take quite some time...
About them glowing tanks, then HMMVVEE is also glowing.
Maybe the soldier is just carrying a giant torchlight.
And what about an improved Night vision i suggested?
adding "lights" is no easy task, to do it well which really requires 3DsMax lightmaps etc.
not just the tanks and the hummers, its every dynamic lighten object, including player models
I want runway, taxiway and VASI lights at all airbases! And please add me a passenger jet to fly the commander around in so I can play flight simulator.

I am a fan of any night map but this one? I can drive/run around for 30 minutes without seeing anyone as it is. A night version of this one would take this, the slowest map and bring it to a stand still.

I set up a server for it, but when I tried to join, I CTD'd at 62% every time. Server was still running though. No error message in windowed mode either.
We'll look into it, I'm sure we can find out why I crash. Local server works perfectly.
Are you running on max settings? Ive had problems crashing at 62% on blue screen maps with vanilla when using low or medium settings. I'm not sure if that will help you at all.
Could steal an idea from FH2 in that you have commander launched parachute flares to light up the desert sands. They used them in Desert Storm so they still have them in stock.

It runs fine on a local server, so it *must* be something else, if you ask me .
Told you I was doing too many things at once last night, and forgot to do the alpha map on your hemi map
EDIT: you've also got to have a little play with your fog ranges, since your using Bi Ming settings the fog range on the NVGs needs bumping up alot. You could also bump up the main fog range but make sure you keep that well under the NVG range to stop "gamma hacking" as such.
EDIT: also moved to community modding.

IM me on MSN later and ill send you the file, you also need to put "is night map" in your desc file, probaly why its crashing on dedi but maybe not without doing thorougher testing.
I had that in, but when I loaded the map it crashed. Removing that caused it to not crash. Weirdness. But more files have changed again, so will try it with the addition of that line again.

Again, love night maps.
i do agree with you to a point, as this map, would take twice as long as Kashan day, the only thing i would say is make the bunker complex more important and more of a place where people need to get to and maybe cut 2 flags on each side

As I said before, always remember this is a tryout .
