ok so go to
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects\objects_server_patch.zip
then i there you go to weapons\handheld
you then find the weapon you want to find the damage for.
open the folder, then find the tweak file, open it with notepad.
now look for the line
ObjectTemplate.projectileTemplate
it should say something like
ObjectTemplate.projectileTemplate 762_51
so that means it uses a 7.62x51 round
so take note of that.
now go to
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects\objects_server.zip
then go to
weapons\common\projectiles
now find the bullet you need
so say it is the 7.62x51
you would open that tweak file.
then it would say something like this
ObjectTemplate.create GenericProjectile 762_51
ObjectTemplate.material 3762
ObjectTemplate.damage 50
ObjectTemplate.minDamage 0.4
ObjectTemplate.DistToStartLoseDamage 400
ObjectTemplate.DistToMinDamage 1000
ObjectTemplate.gravityModifier 0.3
include projectiles_common.tweak
hope i helped.

According to an article published by the F.B.I entitled, Handgun Wounding Factors and Effectiveness, "given desirable and reliable penetration, the only way to increase bullet effectiveness is to increase the severity of the wound by increasing the size of the hole made by the bullet...Of those that will penetrate, the edge is always with the bigger bullet." Based upon this, the MP5 should be more effective against unarmoured opponents than the MP7 because the MP5 fires a significantly larger round. Having said that there is word that the 4.6mm round, the MP7 fires, tumbles, which would increase the size of the hole and consequently increase the "severity of the wound." In the case of armoured opponents, the MP7 should win out since the MP5 will have serious trouble penetrating the body armour.Spec_Operator wrote:Why is the MP7 less powerful than the MP5? Oo
The latter shown with some tests:

Yes, thats what i meant. Lower base damage but higher modifier on armour would be fair i think. In the case of armoured opponents, the MP7 should win out since the MP5 will have serious trouble penetrating the body armour.
