Merlin Sound Stutter

There is a bug with the Merlin Helicopter.


Whenever on Basra I hop into the Pilot seat, the game stutters every 2-3 seconds. At first I thought this was because I had a old pc but with my new pc this happens also. it makes flying helicopter on Basra impossible.

Specs

AMD Dual 5000
2 GB RAM
GF7600 gt 256MB

Soundcard:
Soundblaster Live 24 bit.


I am running the game on all high except textures which is on medium. The sound quality is high and "software" with EAX on.

This bug only appears when I am piloting the merlin. If I am passenger it does not happen.
