The insurgent mosin rifle scope isn't really effective at long range as the lines are thicker than a man at >200m.

From another thread someone posted this picture of what the real WWII scope looked like.

Now I'm not suggesting you put this into the game, but rather just erase the upper half of the vertical cross hair and make it a point like in the picture.

I say this because when you are trying to snipe someone with this at range, the upper half of the vertical line covers your target. For example, a guy in a window you are trying to shoot, you can only see their upper body and head, but when looking through the scope that is the part that is blocked. It really nerfs the potential of this weapon, and I'd rather not have to use the exploit that was suggested to me to work around this.

I'll dig around in the files and if I can find the file for this scope I'll change it myself and test it, but it would be nice and I would figure HELLA easy to change this for .8 by comparison to other things, more a suggested fix than a feature.

Something like the common PU scope probably should be used. AFAIK, the Mosin is taken from the EoD guys so it could be possible to get the files from them and make the necessary changes.

I haven't used the Mosin in a while.Has the animation of folding out a non-existent Bi-Pod been fixed?

Yea nedlands1’s example is even better then what I posted. They use the same one in “Red Orchestra: East front”. Vassili Zaitsev used the same one in the movie (don’t laugh) “Enemy at the gates”

To add one more thing;
Battlefield Korea has some of the best looking weapon-models/textures I’ve ever seen in a Battlefield 2 mod; perhaps even better then FH2s. Maybe the PR team could share some mod assets with the BFK team. The current PR Mosin works well as a placeholder but you cant call it beautiful, especially with the angular scope.

These babies would make any insurgent drool.
