Brakes!

Post by nick20404 »

Please if there is any way at all add brakes to cars/apcs/tanks. I can't stand being in a apc trying to take out incoming rpgs in the distance only to be foiled by a 3 inch difference in ground level forcing my apc/tank to rock back n forth or continuously slide because the ground isn't 100% level.

Also it gets annoying when your gunner is yelling at you to stop in a life or death situation and you have no power over it.

A lot of people use the seat switch trick. Works better in APCs than fully crewed tanks - just switch to f3 or available back seat then back into driver - but it doesn't work well on any kind of steep-ish incline or rough ground. A handbrake would be awesome.

this had been re suggested many times. Yes it would be good, but I don't know why this can't be done- but evidently it can't.

I use a joystick throttle for land vehicles, I find that if you have the throttle at around zero, but just slightly backwards you will stop very fast as soon as you take the accelerator off.

I'd prefer a manual speed shifter to be able to move at the same speed as infantry to give them cover. Since its quite easy to stop except in inclined position but no gunner really want to stop in an inclined position.
