It should basically be a disarm the bomb or lose kind of map maybe. In order to disarm it, you need to capture an area by having a bunch of men in it and more than the enemy. Kind of the same principle behind Sunset City now. Not sure if it would work though or even be a fun gamemode.

How about this guys.
You capture a point on the map, once captured, it will be nuked in 1-2 minutes. The enemy needs to pack it up and rush back to that point and capture it in less then 1-2 minutes or else its "nuked" and basically erased from the map. It cannot be re-captured. Then, the you move to capture the next point, and so on and so forth.
So basically, capture it, hold for 2 minutes, it gets nuked, that point is gone, move to the next. The enemy needs to hold these points, or get them back before the 2 minutes is up, or else their enemy just gets that much closer to their main base.
No? Would be difficult to code i'd think.
"Edit" If you want to look at it realistically
the points you capture are key points for the enemy, a source of resource, like oil/armory/etc. When your military captures it, it is nuked to prevent further use and to cripple the enemy that much more. They're blown up by small tactical nukes, small yield, to demolish all traces of resource. I understand that when that is done, it is usually used to their own benefit instead of destroyed. Well then lets act as if the resources are pulled out, then it is nuked to prevent further use because its such a "large" resource center.
Throwing ideas out Men, that is all.

MOAB is not a FAE, its high explosives (RDX, TNT, and Aluminum). All that its missing is the gamma flash, otherwise it would fit quite well in your graphics.

The FOAB is a FAE, you can see the fuel cloud just before detonation, though its blast effects are even more impressive.

I think the sound needs a bit of tweaking, if you were close to a very loud explosion you'd hear the initial blast but then you'd be deaf for some time after, perhaps I'd suggest the same start, but after a few seconds the sound would die down to a continuous ringing.

True enough you have a point. The largest nuclear device detonated produced "from what i've gathered" 282 Decibels of sound. According to the information i've gathered about the human ear, it can only take a limit of around 160 Decibels until the ear drum is torn/damaged.
So yes, a Nuclear device going off that close can make a large quantity of the people near it permanently deaf, and leave those further away with temporary hearing loss.
So i shall work on a new sound for the bomb, there will be the beginning rumble, a loud sharp noise only to fade away leaving a ringing noise "that will fade away also"
