depends, does she have a sexy voice?
I must have one ; I remember a round as commander, the ENG VOIP squad leader asked me "voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir ?" when I tried to give'em orders.
Damned accent
Many thanks to everyone involved in the making of the best videogaming experience ever !

IQ tests arent necessarily wrong. But often they are ethnocentric with little practical validity.

For example, back in 1918 1 million soldiers in teh USA were given an IQ test
(i think the experimenter was a guy called Yerkes)

the results showed that any1 from a ethnic background, italian, spanish etc or even black were simply not as intelligent as white homegrown american soldiers.

However there were questions about baseball and other american popular cultural items. Since the test was more like a general knowledge exam on American culture it made the results completely invalid, yet at the time the results were embraced.

So, be careful with IQ tests, they can lie to you.

I love being able to understand what it means, some of the phrases that EA made are a tiddly bit tacky though....I wish I could see an all Chinese squad...

Yea, awesome. Two guys once in my squad kept talking Spanish, it was interesting to listen, even if I didn't get anything. It's just spiked up the atmosphere.

Totally agree, VOIP is absolutely NECESSARY on PRoject Reality! If you cant use it, don't play on public PR servers. Its that simple.

Yeah i love using VOIP in games but sometimes i get abit shy and nervous cos i dunno what to say lol!...but anyways once i get my head in gear i can keep the squad alive by talking to em or coordinating attacks...usually my brother takes the piss out of me or says "who you talking to?" and im like...erm the PC, PC this is my brother, my brother this is my pc!.

sometimes i really hate it when im trying to use voip but my brother plays his games on loud!!! it bloody distracts me!!.

I have gone through 3 10$ microphones since I started playing PR back in .4. I currently have a 15$ microphone that only 1/3 of people can hear. The other 2/3 complain about me not having a mike and call me a n00b.

1. I love squads with lots of foreign accents, that's the fun part. I don't even mind squads with languages I don't speak, we manage with the ingame commands and have fun anyway. (didn't anyone ever tell you that chicks love guys with foreign accents?)
2. If you have an IQ requirement, then I'm afraid there won't be enough players to fill a server so we will have to all get along with all the "special" people who play PR.
3. For goodness' sake, a cheap headset won't dent your budget that much, pony up!

VOIP problems arn't always about mic, I did had a lot of VOIP problems before actively play PR, I first tried other mic but the problem was my sound card. Since I changed it, everything's fine, except for a few ones who cant figure out how to set up their VOIP/Sounds in order to hear their teammate properly and they say its our fault...

I once decided to take an IQ test. Here's how it went:
The first few questions were about shapes. The next few were simple math problems. Up until the point where it started asking me about pop culture I was fine. I was stumped by a couple of questions like this. I am a very knowledgeable person when it comes to history, literature, physics and other practical knowledge, and I when was stumped by three questions like, "who is Jennifer Lopez's daughter?", I got pissed off and left.

If you live in the UK and got a Poundland near you, you can get a mic headset for, you guessing it! a Pound!!

I currently have a Labtec room mic I paid a fiver on, it's useful. I prefer 3.5mm jack mics to USB served mics, I think that is where the problem is with many people, having USB headsets.

As to IQ tests. Too many are based around cultural knowledge and fail as a result. Proper ones should be based on visual, motor and thought processes rather than specific knowledge questions.

Sometimes, it's not always about money you know.

I happen to have my PC too close to my bedroom and i dont want to be an *** and wake my sexy wife you know...

Within 2 months from now, i am moving to a bigger house, better setup as well where i am not close to any bedrooms, i'll be in business.

Until then, i wont use VOIP. Mind you, i make a point not to SL either, i do think it is necessary to Lead a squad with VOIP. I wont join a VOIP squadname either... my loss.
