not saying that the loading screen tips isn't a good thing, but I'm guessing that the main reason for less noobs is because it's been a while since the last release. New release = new wave of noobs. Most either learn to play or leave.. so after a few weeks a lot of them are gone.

Thats actually what caused me to start playing PR Raveman. I remember hearing some blokes talking about it in a squad on Vanilla BF2, then thinking it sounds pretty good. That same afternoon I came here, checked out the manual and the next day I was Dl'ing.

Do not underestimate the POWER of the PR tips.

Also take in to account that at least some n00bs will find a squad willing to answer questions and teach them the game (also take in to account the PR training team ofc)

BTW I think it is great for those who just started playing PR, because the tips really contain some tips and dont just recite stuff from the manual.
But it is mainly the steep learning curve and not the tips that weeds out the "spoilage".

^ditto, but since we don't have the COD system of climbing over obstructions the large jump is the only alternative

I read the manuals, but I still find that the tips are good for reenforcing what's in the manual.

Thank the devs and whoever thought of the idea! Expect more tips in .8 ;)

There are less questions, but as said, people who can't get the hang of the game won't waste their time, thus they leave the mod.
