imo, its not worth it really. Better putting effort into something else as we already have destructable buildings.. just imagen the time it would take to model it, then all the coding work ?

besides, gas stations have cut off valve's below the concrete. when the pump is not engaged there is no fuel in that particular line until it is engaged. therefore all that would really happen is a small fire of petrol deposits (drops left in)

the only thing that really would explode is an LPG tank (which at the moment on most forecourts sits above ground level). but they dont exist ingame yet do they?

as above, unless you hit an LPG tank (that isn't currently ingame(yet?)) there will be little more than a small fire (e.g. the same as a HUM-V on fire)

the forecourt roof might collapse and the pumps might get disintegrated, but thats all. (it would take about 4 months to draw up, render, test, bug test and implement that roof and for something many gamers wouldn't do (although i bet some noobs have tried (not guilty! honestly!))).

Now, this is why you need to run any military land based vehicle on diesel. They shouldn't blow up under small arms fire, explosions should cause flameouts, not look like a fuel air bombs gone off.

I once watched a 4 tonne wagon in front of us set on fire after diesel dripped down onto the brakes as we were constantly driving up and down hills on a small country road in Scotland away from the motorways. The intense heat of the overused brakes heated up the diesel enough to combust, then the fire spread across the rear canvas and everything in the back was burned. (incidently uninsured private property!)

You don't need a spark to set fire to stuff. Enough heat will do it.

diesel flash-ignites at 210 degrees celsius. thats hot. he must have been doing some monster braking.

just dont tell ferrari, Massa might get upset.
