I'm the server admin of GloryHoundz. DEDMON does have some admin privileges such as kicking, etc. He's the Enforcer ;)

I've removed all vehicles from Oasis. Give it a try and see if you like it better now. Pure infantry now.

I wasn't too fond of it either, it just didn't seem too fun...theres really no strategy in the map....

Thank God, that's a good start on this map. I don't know how many times I've been on this map and seen about 2-3 fastmovers per round just flying along like anti-infantry lawn mowers. Really cheap in my opinion, so score one for making this map a little better. Now if I could only find some cover.... 8)

I like Oasis for the pure infantry aspect... sure you can setup an m249 on the hill overlooking a flag and just simply hose down the enemy... but hey thats real life :)

+ for the removal of vehicles, just takes away from the infantry goodness.

Sorry to bump, but I got off a great game on Oasis not too long ago!

No one got spawn raped, and there was a hell of a fight put up on both sides! There was some complaints about some of the squads on the opposite team's side, but other than that, it seemed as even as I'd ever seen that map play out. Most of the fighting was over the Oasis.

Hell of a battle guys! Props to Fuzzhead and -TC-Rhino!

That map has crazy flanking movements-- it's so big, yet so small. Good stuff!

Yea great playin with you MagicMan.

Fritz I have a suggestion, Im not sure if its possible or not though. How about making the vehicle spawn times in Oasis 1 hour or more.... The main reason I ask this, is because its really nice to dynamically affect the map by having vehicle wreckage stay where its destroyed. Then for the rest of the map, this wreckage is used for cover and movement, and its always random, and makes the map much more enjoyable.

If the enemy wants to use the jeeps as Anti-Infantry 'Lawn Mowers' they wont last longer than a couple seconds, and there wont be another jeep again for them.

SOmething to think about anyways, I think the jeeps add something to the map, and if used in a supporting role could really make the map more immersive. Just please, once they are dead, they are dead (like in RL). That way they do not affect the battle signifigantly, but are still present.

Needs to be overally bigger.

Sometimes theres some stonking games, that rock, with both sides playing tug-o-war.

But other times it turns into a spawn camping shambles. The bases are too close together, meaning you can comfortably defend the MEC HQ while laying down fire into USMC HQ. The overall style of the map, however, is excellent.

One thing about the Jeep Respawn times - how much do you want to bet that a big fat smacktard will get in and drive like a ninny, not knowing the respawn time is very long.

Fullforce: maybe at first, but like I said, wherever he gets blown up, that will turn into cover for the rest of the round. That Dynamic Cover is what I love, the fact that it could be blown up anywhere and prove incredibly useful, especially if its at a top of one of those dunes.

After people start playing the map with long respawn times, they wil get accusomted to it IMO.

I've had much better games now that the vehicles are no longer there. Had alot of fun defending the Oasis from the MEC!

I agree with fuzzheads idea of giving the vehicles a extreme respawn time so that they might respawn maybe once. I do enjoy the cover Vehicle carcasses leave behind.

Vehicle carcasses - lots of for that map and more rocks - failing those it's bloody awful.
