interesting way of looking at itPRC_Heavy_Z wrote:and yeah, this thing is amphibious but not very fast at all. If this was in game, It'll probably get slaughtered every time it tries to cross a large body of water.

Update: Interior.
[note] this is the 3p version of the interior, so it's low detailed and it is not even entirely finished yet. This is the basic outline I'm starting with.

This is the only "real" picture of the inside I have. All my other information are described by the magazine with some cheap 3d pictures.

I haven't finished tweaking the rear wheel well and the propeller yet because they were becoming a headache
. I'll finish them when I can think clearly.
haven't added any details to the axle because I don't know what it looks like IRL. Might have to look at a hummv's axle and work off of that.

looks good! you will want to make the 1p interior really a 100% separate model, which its own high rez texture sheet too
EDIT: you could probaly cut down on the polys a little more as its 3p, on bits like the steering wheel etc

I cannot wait (hopefully) to put a tank shell through one of these on Qinling from my Challenger.
Varients would be pretty sweet. Like Rhino just posted, a TOW version would be so great on certain maps.
You have serious skills, guy. From a person that still argues with BF2 editor and can't get basic maps made..... that might not have as much punch, but this for sure is a work of art. Especially since you've done it within a little more then a week from the start of this thread.
Rock on!

Update: Final 3p model candidate.

Poly: 7042
Tris: 8032
Yes, that is a teapot in the last picture... the passenger seat will not be occupied by anyone and the driver might need some company. Besides, I said I'd use it didn't I?
For the interior I did not add any more geometric details, I looked at the other in-game model's interior and they didn't seem that populated with details even on high (asides from the land rover maybe). Besides, anyone looking inside will be looking through a tinted window.
The passengers in the back will view the world through the gun ports like the ones in game already. The main reason why I'm not modeling the back interior is because I don't know how it look like and even if I did, the gun port views are far more interesting than staring at the person in front of you.
Also, the rear wheel well and propellers are tweaked, Head rest added.
Thanks for the feedback
BTW, I find that picture of HJ8 VN3 rather ironic... more than a year ago, I was posting that same picture on the "Suggestion" forum(the thread was taken out by maintenance) hoping someone will model and put it in game and replace the Nanjing.
