I don't, I was talking about Engineer's non-existing suppression. About the cooling in my PC, it's an off the shelf HP Pavillion I got from work. Are you suggesting the cooling has a design flaw? :D

It can be a defective part or fan, mechanical objects have design flaws, and yes it can have a design flaw.

It's an Nvidia G71 card of some kind with no fan, just a massive cooling pipe slapped to it. Then they crammed a soundcard right below it, so it becomes like a microwave oven in there. I changed the power supply 3 weeks ago when the fan started getting really loud. I know there's a design flaw..irony and the internet and all that. It's been going commando for the past six months with the side panel removed.

Spacing out the G71 and sound card will probably help..when I get to it. Every time I start up PR I can hear the GPU going, 'Oh not this shit again!'. It's like, soundwise, the whole PC kicks it up a step. All the fans etc.

The supression effect doesn't seem to work for me and neither does the PR executable i need to run pr from custom games because whhen i try using the exe it crashes. before the bf2 movie starts. What hope do i have of playing pr with half of the fixes you people are coming up with?

Are you running on a widescreen monitor?

as i said if your in the open going prone isn't going to help, your blind so cant see the direction of fire too try and return fire plus the guy shooting at you as his deviation time will have passed, so players now bunnyhop to avoid fire and get to cover.

indeed if you've a low spec PC it lasts longer and there's bugger all you can do about it, i feel sorry for those people as there's a hardcoded disadvantaged in the game now

now that's the right question

someone running a 120fps will have just over a second and someone running at 25fps will have over 6 seconds, and people wonder why its been disabled...

This example is worth starting a thread saying why it should be dropped

I don't think we need another complain thread.
You can use this one:

25 FPS!!? You can't play the game w/ any enjoyment at that frame rate anyway. To claim people are disabling it to be competitive due to their hardware handy-cap is ridiculous, they aren't being competitive anyway! They just need newer, faster computers. I upgraded my machine to play PR, it's the PC way.
