Please dont flame
Please dont flame me lol, in a hurry and I am running late so i dont have time to search for old threads. Are there any plans to put LCAC's and Fast Roping back in? I will add more when I get back on tomorrow. Thanks.

I don't think the engine updates the position enough for fast roping from a moving object, so unless there's a clever work around or they manage to change the code (which is a bit risky legal wise) I can't see it happening. LCAC's would be interesting. I wonder if the code is already there? Just needs activating? Or maybe (more realisticly... being EA and all) they took it out so they can give it to us in another addon pack.

Fast roping was in Beta, i would think that there would still be some kind of programming to it.Mad Max wrote:I don't think the engine updates the position enough for fast roping from a moving object, so unless there's a clever work around or they manage to change the code (which is a bit risky legal wise) I can't see it happening. If my memory recollects, fast roping was attempted in DC in the BF42 engine, and screenshots shown they almost had it, if it wasnt for engine limitations. One can only guess to say it can be done in BF2, but who knows unless its tried. You would kind of assume it would be added to BF2, but assuming is usually the first step to being wrong.
