So my roommate and I have been playing PR since .3 together. We've just recently with the release of .7 starting getting into vehicles. After spending 10-15 hours practicing on a LAN we decided to hit the skies in a real game with the Hueys. Oh my figgin gawd!! It was one of the most fun games of PR I have ever played. It was an absolute blast flying around picking up guys and moving them around. Ive felt the power of teamwork before in infantry or armor squads but those don't even come close the feeling of rocketing infantry squads around. It turned out to be a long Jabal game and by the end I had made over 30 insertions and only lost 4 birds. 2 to uneven ground....makes landing/takeoff rough, 1 to ground fire and 1 to a carrier incident involving Cheeseman. Only lost one passenger and it was a sniper....so I'm not to worried. Learned my lesson about uneven terrain and it's not to terrible for my first real game I think.
Some things I noticed while playing though is that commanders rarely set up LZs and rally points (not the SL kind) lone infantry. It pains me to see one sniper on the map in the middle of the mountains asking for a helo ride. I guess what I'm saying is I just wish stranded infantry would move to pickup points for dust off and if I could get designated LZs to drop them at once the game has gotten past that initial rush phase. Mobility seems to be key on a lot of the PR levels and with a good helo transport system in place I don't see how one could lose. Anyways just my 2 cents, was a great time and a big TY to all the people who made PR possible.
transporting is realy much fun =) I was just flying now on kashan for 2 1/2 hours I think cuzz of realy even teams and good teamwork. Just crashed 4 blackhawks at all and had something about 2k points... Yeah, its realy fun if you do it right =)
Transporting gives you that feeling of importance on the field, especially in a helicopter. Hey, I'm getting my mates around the map, winning this round thanks to high-speed movement and coordination. In vBF2, you'd get in the heli, get to your spot and just jump out and leave the heli to crash. Kinda sad.
But it's very embarrassing when you make a mistake, especially when you're needed most on Jabal and Kashan. Practicing flying and actually flying in a round are rather different.
One sad thing is, when you do lots of perfect transport runs and get that “problem with your connection” **** that makes the chopper crash. Suddenly you are the biggest noob pilot the server has ever seen. Nobody cares that BF/PR lagged or about your last successful runs. I can virtually land the Merlin on a flagpole, and I use commons sense, (unlike some players that fly well), but that wont do any good when you start lagging. I get that stupid lag and text, “there is a problem with your connection”, and unless I press ESC to the game menu I get disconnected from server. I know lots of other people got this issue. And that’s why I avoid flying nowadays. It’s a sacrifice I had to make for the team.
Never had this problem before 0.6 but it might not be PR related but rather BF2. Don’t get this lag on other games.

I thought the Little bird was the child of the Huey and the Black Hawk?
you will have to wait and see whats on Muttrah 2 when it comes out, thou I think you can safly assume that Muttrah 2 will be quite like Muttrah, but bigger and better
