[Request] Do you like to take part in my CV90-Project

Post by ChuangZi »

Hello All :-D

I' am going to built two swedish CV90-Vehicles. 8)
The first one will be an Dutch CV90 and will replace the xpak2-eu-lav25. (One Driver, Four Passengers / A more powerful gun than the lav25, a turret-machinegun like in all tanks)
The next one will be an swedish CV90-AAV and will replace the xpak2-eu-AAV. (the armament and ai will be the same)
When the project is finished, the models will be published for the Bf2-Scene.

I' am searching for a BF2-Coder and a Texturing-Artist.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You can probably go up to about 5000-6000 triangles for a large vehicle like that. So you can fit in a lot more detail. And don't forget to use smoothing. :)

Oh, and the dev team could use a few more vehicle coders, too ;)

Hi and thanks for your answer :)

I always try to prevent smoothing. So it is very welcome, that I can add in more detail. You said "5000-6000 triangles": I have about 2620 Quads. Am I allowed to use Quads in BF2?

What do you mean with vehicle-coders? Are you searching for the same people or do you need more vehicle-modellers?

2650 Quads, isn't that 5300 triangles?

Yeah, I expected the same before I converted the Quads to Triangles. :-?
"2650 Quads" is wrong. I should have said "2650 Faces", because there are still some Triangles inside. Sorry.....
But now I still have enough more room to add some more detail. :)

Our companys main assault apc is cv-9030. They are incredible good vehicles. Worlds best assault apc. The only bad thing is the price and loudness.

The first snapshot I found, convinced me. It's a great vehicle.
If there would be a conflict in which EU-Forces would take part, the CV90 would be the APC-No.1 of that forces. Because of that, it is a tragedy that Scandinavian Dice forgot the CV90.

I think the price was one of the big reasons for the German government. Now they are going to introduce the Puma.

please make sure it's the CV9040 with the heavier gun.... packs alot more punch...
And I guess you are from Sweden, would be nice to se some more Swedish equipment (we swedes might be alone thinking so) I would love to see CombatBoat 90HS (Stridsbåt 90 HS), to bad I'm not a coder or anything else....

Hello :)

Here is a snapshot of my work. Comments are welcome.

The first picture shows my modified CV 9035 MK III (APC) model from different angles. Sirnaut is currently working on the texture. So I still need a Vehicle-Coder.

The second picture shows the beginning of my CV 9040 AAV model. I' am going to add a radarbox and a new weapon. I think I will also add a rocket-launcher. The original CV9040AAV has none. But I think it is necessary for BF2. I still need a texturing-artist and vehicle-coder for the model.

No, I'm Finnish :D

Finland bought about 115 cv9030

And I spent my army with them. Damn it was fun.

Those pictures I took are of 30mm cannon model.

Are you going to model the extra armor for those?

Did you know there is even a 120mm version :-D

They did made only one prototype of it.

I saw a video of it. It was hilarious. A little cv with friggin huge cannon attached to it!

But that picture.... the barrels looks like it, but the fire suspender (what do you call it?) I mean the end of barrel looks reallly different from our cv´s. So i think it's different cannon, especially made for AA.

Finlands second best AA guns are our CV'S! Their computer systems a are very efficient. They calculates the air/ground vehicles speed and aim in front as much is needed. You know what I mean.

I try to get pics tomorrow

*edit Heres something from finnish military sites http://www.mil.fi/maavoimat/kalustoesit ... dsp?id=541

And more pics and information in finnish http://www.mil.fi/maavoimat/kalustoesit ... uipment=70

Is he still working on that model? If so we the Dutch Armed Forced Faction are interested in your model.
