Did I say otherwise?
More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

oh thought you said denmark AND finland isnt in nato.. you just meant finland..KP wrote:Did I say otherwise?![]()
Anyways, this thread is going and going and going. What I can hear is this:
- People want to see their home country in PR
Everyone wants that...
- All of the scandinavian countries are pretty small compared to the US, GB and such and will thus be easier to gather in one faction.
1. Well, it will require almost as much work as doing the all the different factions on their own.
2. MEC is a unified and fictional army of a bunch of arab countries, but I fear if such a faction is made for the scandinavian, people will complain there is too much of one faction compared to their own - and the reason we dont hear these complaints from the arab community about MEC - well try to find that community, the scandinavian players is a pretty huge slice of the total players of PR
I have run out of mental power to find a solution that makes everyone happy on this subject, but I think its time to make a call on this before we see 4 more proposal threads for the seperate countries thus taking man power from a lot of other and more important work.

Not only that. It was in fact developed by Bofors in Sweden.Fonveh wrote: It is used by both Sweden and Denmark.
Probably, but these people will have to accept this.KP wrote: I fear if such a faction is made for the Scandinavian, people will complain there is too much of one faction compared to their own
One problem is that all of the Scandinavian countries use quite different equipment. Take the main rifles for example. Swedes use Ak5, Norwegians use (or will use) HK416, Finns use RK-62 or RK-95, Danes use C7A1... Now which one will the Nordic Battlegroup be using?

Nordic Battlegroup basically means Swedish Forces, as they make up the bulk of the soldiers.

Re: PROPOSAL: Nordic Battle Group
why cant you just make it random who got what inside this faction? Dont care about who got what and neither do I think people from scanidnavia will whine about they who do that are to small to understand what shall each country have of hardware and military anyway.
People don't realize that autism doesn't mean they're "stupid". Just socially inept. Like rhino... > > or in a worst case scenario... Wicca. =)- Lithium fox

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.
"Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage."

That's one dirty swedish blond; we will need one hell of a modeler!KP wrote:we definitely need this for the mod:
The norwegians force are currently active in Mazar-e Sharif, which basicly is just a city in the Balkh Province, northern A-stan. Which means lots of mountains, vallies and so on.

To the point, we need desert maps with mountains.

We will have different map which will have different vehicles.Znake wrote:Maybe i'm blind but i don't see a suggestion for an attack heli. Will you use the apache or just use the aircrafts and skip the attack heli's![]()
So the main map i am goaling for is that we will have an infantry map and also with 1 plane who can give airsupport for the Norwegians. Their will be caves for the insurgents who will hide and ambush the norwegians from different fronts. So watch out

Re: [Proposal] Nordic Battle Group ?
the norwegian army doesnt really have a counterpart for the a-10 right? well if that is true i say we make a map like quinling where the planes have bombs. As for the swedish army we have the sk 60 c which would be the "a-10" of the swedish army.
sk 60 c

and that girl. Over here theres alot more where that came from grrrrr

Sk 60 is designed solely as a trainer aircraft. It is not meant to be used in combat at all from what I know.markonymous wrote:the norwegian army doesnt really have a counterpart for the a-10 right? well if that is true i say we make a map like quinling where the planes have bombs. Completely wrong. Wikipedia is your friend: Saab 105 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaFonveh wrote:Sk 60 is designed solely as a trainer aircraft. It is not meant to be used in combat at all from what I know.
