Yesterday was the first my play in PR and i took down AT guy with beretta...
EDIT: He has kevlar right? ;]
So... i think that .45 would be enough...
Let's be realistic
GetBack2Reality.... DE .50 is too big... and is not common handgun... ehm.. handcannon across the world/forces...
Eh... Point-Five-O

Maybe give the Spec Ops class the MEU-SOC 1911, since he would be considered part of MEU-SOC. Also don't know if the Marines are going to use it but the Army is developing (or thinking about developing) a new pistol (like the H&K USP) that fires a .40cal bullet (12/13 rounds, 5 or 6 more than the 1911 and only 3 or 2 less than the M9).
But just make the accuracy realistic, I don't want to be sniped by a M9 when I can't hit someone with the Ak-101.

In my expriences with pistols.. it's extreemly easy to miss even on stationary targets, at close ranges. Take it from someone who's only just started shooting a few months ago. Pistols just have very short sight radius, and 90% of the aim is controled by the same hand that's pulling the trigger, so all you have to do is squeeze that trigger just a little too hard, or too fast, and the shot is proabably going southeast by 5, 10, 15 degrees easy... and it all happens right at the end, during the trigger's travel... so you could've even had a perfect bead... thought it was going to be a bullseye..
All you every hear about are the stories like "oh i can shoot the eye out of a crow fly'n" and sure enough there are people like that.. but for every story like that there's 10,000 ones that go like "how the heck did i miss that?!"

The other night I unloaded my beretta into an assult guy, and he didn't go down. When I say I 'unloaded' I mean I emptied my clip with 7-9 hitting around the torso area.
Now you don't have to be a surgeon or a gun nut to figure out that the guy should have been dead, or on the ground at very least!!!
Gives us the .45
Had the pleasure of handling/firing both the Beretta and Colt in RL. Very impressive weapons. Certainly not your one handers!!!

What kind of pistol? The M92 is a SA/DA pistol, so you've got practically no trigger pull after the first round, or after cocking the hammer...DEFkon wrote:In my expriences with pistols.. it's extreemly easy to miss even on stationary targets, at close ranges. And try squeezing that trigger. Not yanking it.

lol...so true. Who brought up the desert eagle? It is with out a doubt the worst combat handgun choice one could make. limited capacity, in ability to operate the safties, slide release, and magazine release with one hand, heavy, chambered in rounds not commonly found on the battlefield, poor sights ( can be fitted with a scope) and the number one reason massive recoil. If this gun was good the Israelis who designed it and manufacture it, would use it. This gun is only acceptable as a conversation piece or a hunting gun. I am amzed at how many people buy this gun because they saw it in a movie or simply saw it is the biggest automatic handgun and thought it was good. At my gun club I die laughing every time I see sombody with one.{YBBS}Sage wrote:What kind of pistol? Too big recoil, small ammo capacity and just to big ... uncomfortable during fire fights.. and there are no too many .50AE rounds around ;]

Heres another pick of the MEU(SOC) pistol that could be used for modeling it.
