I think thats more the situation now but if every flag had some ticket worth like this it'd make more sense to defend.
Right now the ticket loss grinds down to a standstill if both armies are not engaged, very boring as most timers are set to 4 hours for 1 map.
Thats one reason rushing is reinforced as something you always have to do

Game tickets for me when i'm commander makes the difference between telling my squads to advance onto capture points or go for good KDRs, as KDRs win the matches in most cases when you get a stale mate, as even if the middle flag is held by one force, it doesn't make the other force bleed, you must have a overwhelming majority of flags at the moment.

Yeah, they tried it before. However, it lasted 4 years, from 1914-1918.
