spec ops kit
Personally i enjoy playing spec ops and going lone wolf into enemy territory by myself, i like to infiltrate and do dangerous missions in which sometimes it gets so risky that you really feel your heart pumping, it is a great feeling of almost dying but making through alive, The spec ops kit it is a great kit, one believes that the spec ops kit needs one more thing to truly have the full spec ops experience, and that is the essential parachute, you might ask yourself.. why? well yeah pilots have them but what about spec ops, for me in my case i run all the way to the enemy base, i listen to music while performing my own insertion because i guess thats the only thing i can do while running for 10 min straight, it would be a great way to do a quick insertion by chopper, just flying over the target and just jumping off for a quick and safe insertion , REMEMBER the point of spec ops is NOT to rape the main base but instead to destroy the enemy commander assets all the way behind enemy lines, spec ops now a day are trained to perform parachute jumps, where talking SAS, Navy Seals, Green Berets , marine Recon , etc. and well to leave a spec ops in reality mod without a parachute is like saying i am just a guy with a lot of explosives but i dont have the proper equipment for my own insertion. So finally i just wanted to suggest for spec ops to have a parachute, you know its true what im stating here.
Thanks for your time, i hope this post will make a difference.

Block of text!
I think paras in the context of spec ops makes more sense at night, not so much in daylight. Anyways, are spec ops para drops performed from choppers ordinarily?
Glad to hear people are using the spec ops kit properly.

I agree, the Spec Ops would be really effective on big maps if it there was a parachute.

Spec ops paradrops are not performed from choppers ordinarily, but anyhow we dont have big aircraft to simulate paradrops from big planes, just like the pilot kit have parachutes and they ( the piots ) can parachute from a blackhawk in an emergency, which in real life doesnt happen, but we do it in game to simulate search and rescue, but with a littlebird or blackhawk we can simulate a spec ops paradrop into enemy territory. Get my point??....

well its either the parachute or the grappling hook and i love having a grappling hook on maps where engies dont get them. theyre really useful for scaling walls to sneak into enemy bases and it helps ur team more cuz ur teammates can use the grappling hook too. also usefull for helping inserting snipers onto roofs etc.

Yes it would be great to have a parachute in the SF kit but to do this something must be removed. The reason for this is that each kit can only have 9 items in it and at the moment all the slots are being used.

Re: spec ops kit
What about increasing the opacity of the character.
Your gonna say...
(1) NAHH! too overboard, they will look crummy!
answer: It will serve it's purpose for the specific roll. and gameplay is about 60% more than the look of the game IMO!
(2) The kit might be opace but the basic form without the kit will remain the same!
Answer: I'm pretty sure somthing can be done
(Okay so its not a watertight defence, can i get some feedback on those points?)
I'm suggesting that the specOps be a more difficult target to spot for gameplay reasons as they seem to get wasted because of the movement and agility limitations and not because they cant paradrop into the base.

well parachuting from helicoptere can be perfomed if necessary by the special forces, but a Paratrooper kit ( M16A4-Acog + Parachute ) unlimited would be awesome, add parachute to officier and boom! we now got an airborn squadsergio00-colombia wrote:Spec ops paradrops are not performed from choppers ordinarily, but anyhow we dont have big aircraft to simulate paradrops from big planes, just like the pilot kit have parachutes and they ( the piots ) can parachute from a blackhawk in an emergency, which in real life doesnt happen, but we do it in game to simulate search and rescue, but with a littlebird or blackhawk we can simulate a spec ops paradrop into enemy territory. Correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe that the Spec Ops kit will have a chute in .8. I thought I heard that a little while ago.

It was planned for 0.7 or 0.75, but then they gave it the hook instead.Jimmy_Smack wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe that the Spec Ops kit will have a chute in .8. I thought I heard that a little while ago.

Re: spec ops kit
I only wish servers had rules so those like me and the thread starter could work as a spec ops the way its meant to be used.
I also wish that everyone used the spec ops kit for the "h4x" usage.
Im sick of kids that gets it just so they can use the m4 and have lots of explosives...
if there was one thing i would like to take away from the spec ops kit that would be the m4, replace that one with a zip line.
That would be perfection, and pepole would stop using it all the time.
Replace the smoke with signal smoke granades instead. So Choppers knows where to land.
Ontopic, yes a parachute would be nice, i often join the pilot squads when i operate as a spec ops so i can get evacs when needed(rearming etc).
To be able to jump out of a chopper over an enemy base would be nice.
Maybe ill start a new thread about this

Parachutes would be nice, ideally a para SF and a grapple SF kit but with a limit of only 2 active of the four available. And while we're at it how about a spotter kit so sniper teams quit hogging the SF kits. Anyway if you have a good pilot the parachute isn't really needed, I usually just get dropped onto the hills beside pigfarm for example or near the MECs main on Zatar.

spec ops + parachute ? i can see the baseraping coming miles away... It already happens with pilots and its anoying as hell. I cant imagine a guy droping from the sky , armed to the tooths with C4 and all. Im not for it sorry lol.

Re: spec ops kit
we are talking about PARATROOPER kit, and we cannot baserape... when you're within 200M of uncap flag you're "deserting the combat field" and you start to bleed... It would be more usefull to quickly capture a flag, extract, then rejump after to capture an other one.Howitzer wrote:spec ops + parachute ? i can see the baseraping coming miles away...
