well not just the SD version, maybe the variant with the built in flashlight would be good.

How about a MP5K? Those things are beasts and are used by various counter-terrorist forces. They were orignally designed as a person defence weapon thus they could be used as a crewman's weapon.

Also, a manual for the MP5 series of weapons: Biggerhammer.net - Miscellaneous Firearms Technical and Training Manuals

hay any MP5 model is better then the one DICE made for EA. Not that DICE sucks, but EA has vary low model standards when it comes to PC products. IE we all remember the bad M1A1 Thomson SMG model from BF1942 how it had the slider on the wrong side, and the clip size was wrong.

At least we can keep their killer animations, but for the love of god we need the MP5 model, and the M24 repalced, as well as the M249 SAW model replaced as well.

If you wan't I can find some good reference shots for these weapons and post them in this thread and this guy could get to wor for you PR devs as a dedicated weapons modeler. IE then you could have a **** load of remodeled USMC weapons in the pipe for skining for the next update.

BTW is anyone working on the M16A4 with M203? I know it's comeing, and will have the ACOG as well, but I just wan't to know if it's in the works.

I'm doing it ;) after I have put some more detail on it... its actually pretty low poly and could use a lot more detail to make as kick *** as the rest of PR's toys :)

Almost finished unwrapping it, but I'm also unwrapping the MP5A4 and the RPG-29 at the moment...

I dont think it'd be that problematic for them to have an SMG, while other boast carbines.
All the carbines are zeroed to only 100 meters anyway and the MP5 is renowed for its accuracy as an SMG.
The less DMG vs body armour trade off would be balanced by the silencer, methinks.

Like the engineer and mountineer-engineer(one with graplin hook), it could be varied anyway.

But it has a lower recoil and (up to) 40 rnd mag, so it is better for CQB.

It does not actually matter if it ballances out in the end anyway.

Nice model, too.
The MP5 (presumably the other SMG's too) should be zeroed to 25m. If the ballistics along with the sight geometry is done properly, the weapon will be zeroed to ~100m too.
