After flying a couple of rounds with my squad in the apache, as the pilot, i found it very hard to keep the chopper stable at high altitudes. I know it tough to keep it perfectly still but it shouldnt be that hard to keep it relatively still. I think its mainly due to the HUD (i know that the devs have been warned of this issue and they will most likely fix the HUD color so u can see against the sky). But since i have not seen a HUD since the latest patches i was wondering how sensitive it is.
What i mean is that to figure out how the aircraft is positioned in relation to the ground (without looking at the map) the HUD shows how level you are to the ground right? Well is the current setting sensitive enough? Im not sure how to phrase this well, but if the HUD was a tad bit more sensitive to a pitch, it would be easier for the pilot to controll the craft, i would know how pitched i am and i can correct to stay still.
Then again, i dont know how it is right now to be honest since i cant see the HUD at all, so this is just a general question for now (if the settings on the HUD are sensitive enough for pilot to keep the aircraft still)
Also, has anybody noticed how weird the apache reacts if u pull back n the joystick form a hovering standpoint?? It starts turning by itself, that doesnt happen IRL does it?
