I don't know why you would think that. The only aspect of teamplay that would be removed would be the reviving itself. Otherwise, we would be completely dependent on stealth and coverfire to advance. Cover fire would actually mean something to. To balance this out, the spawn time could be changed to 10-15 seconds so players don't have to wait forever to respawn.
Healing would still be there also, though I don't think you should be able to be healed to full from almost no health. Maybe we should only be able to be healed up to half the difference between the current health and the health prior to taking damage.
Back to teamplay, it would require tons of orginization and tactical skills to be succesful, and this might be hard to adjust to at first. But, in the end, we would all be better players for it. Numbers won't be everything anymore; infact, a squad of three guys could easily best a squad of six if the squad of three knew how to play well and not just charge enemy fire.
I still think that squad leaders would have to be spawn points as this is the only way to preserve any teamplay at all and to keep a squad together. So as long as your squadleader doesn't die you wouldn't have way too much of a problem sticking to your squad. The only problem would be if your squadleader was impatient like I am and decided to go into the fray.

They should be left alone as it is. It already can take from 2-3 shocks to revive someone for some reason, and with the fast pace of BF2 and the way shootouts occur, the games would be much shorter, not as intense, and just benifit the defenders even more. You have 6 people in your squad, so giving them a limited number of revives will only mess up squads again. Like magic said, the people that have the most problem with medics reviving and so on are the ones that are probably not playing this game the way it was intended to be played.
If you want to take out squad hopping, then up the spawn time on vehicles or take them out completely from some levels. If you think about it, the only time someone will make it close to the flag and survive for long is if they have a full squad that fought there. Lone wolves won't make it far in this game at all and when they do, it is mostly because they just gun it in a vehicle and have their spawn spawn on them when they drive to the flag. Force squads to work together by taking out the number of vehicles on levels or upping the spawn time until you get them to take the whole squad. That will basically eliminate squad hopping since the squad will either be full, or fighting slowly(usually next to the other forces) to the flag area.
As it is now with the little amount of good medic, no commander, rarely any supple drops, limiting the shock paddles will just make this game more like CSS/AA because it will basically be like 1 life per person and then they will have to wait even longer. The number 1 thing that keeps squads moving are the medics, so why limit them? Most of you play on GloryHoundz, so tell me how many times do we actually get a commander that listens to the troops instead of fighting with them? Most don't even point out enemies, so I wouldn't trust him to give me a supply drop in the middle of a firefight and then have to wait for the medic to reload it while taking bullets.
There are also a lot of bs deaths in the game stated like falling, getting tked, etc. that are not in combat which should be revived for and you can't count on a limited medic to revive people that this happens to only hurting the team and shorten the gameplay and upping the time people sit around waiting to be respawned.
And if you are a lone wolve, you really have no right to be complaining about medics since you are not in a squad and this mod is all about being in a squad.
