Need to coin a term!

Post by EON_MagicMan »

I think that we should start a movement to coin a name for all the Vanilla players. Something easy to refer to them as when you're complaining to your squad.

Any suggestions?

I say 'Nillas.

Yes lets create segregation where there is none with blanket statements: We already here the term "noob" used inappropriately.

Oh fook it: BF Two = Bunnyhopping Fragmonkey T**ts or BFT's

sure, lets create a word that has a derogatory implication, segregating the so-called elite PR-ers and those who potentially could be hard-core PR-ers.

no thanks. i don't believe in elitism, especially within a mod community. that kind of thinking is what makes the CS community, oh so 'great'.

from my point of view, noobs are newbs. it is up to us to show them the way. if the individual is just an asshat, then kick him/her from the server.

I vote for muppets. I use that term to describe absolutely anyone who I deem to be useless, or not worth playing the game with.

i prefer muppets. It's

A) Funny
B) Much less obvious as to its direct meaning
C) Funny

But, whoever was talking about elitism is 100% right. What we DON't need is an elite bunch. This will be horrible for the mod. People who would normally want to try to learn the ropes will be disgusted and pissed off at the 'experts', either thier skills or their mentality, or both. Muppets is fine because it is more general. noob doesnt work so well as it is a mod.. and noob is too diversive.

Bottom line, you can say whatever the hell you want, but just be aware of the consequences. If you act like an elitist jackass, to expect to see too many more 'nillas' excited in playing.

im sorry PR is MUCH harder to "master" then vanilla, when i see a bunny hopping dolphin diving noob tubing nilla muppet consectivly beat my squad on PR, then ill be HAPPY to be called a muppet. im sorry, PR is a much more mature (even if we do a little bit of name calling ;) ) skilled version of BF2, im sorry, we really ARE better then nilla players. Also, i think everyone in this community welcomes newcomers (i dont think the term newb is derogitory in the PR world, its just someone learning the new ropes.) with arms wide open, we see them on the forums greet them and say "hey have you tried THIS." PR is a good family.

"EJOD tourn players are muppets", I like it, has a nice ring to it :D

Or an EJOD Heli crashes into an EJOD plane in mid-air "a muppet moment"....

Muppet is just a general term for someone acting momenterily idiotically and doesn't really have a specific link to BF2 or PRMM.

If we're even considering this daft suggestion at least have a word that has a specific link/history to "BF2 players shock at PRMM game mechanics" and not some already used general term.
