British Marksman Kit
Hi guys ive just been playing on TG and was told to use the marksman kit for the British, can someone tell me what the difference is between the normal rifle, it has less ammo i know, but it uses the same ammo as the rifle so i dont know why.
So basically does it do more damage? Is it more accurate? what is the point of using it?

Longer Barrel + Bipod = More Accuracy

It doesn't fire tracer ammo either. This makes it easier to remain concealed.

There is no difference in magnification between the SUSAT on either rifle, in-game or in real life.Hotrod525 wrote:And the SUSAT scope is more powerfull

Scope has a bigger field of view in game over the normal L85

Both scopes have exactly the same magnification. The reticule for the L86 LSW (aka "the British marksman kit's" weapon) has a bigger field of view because the model is an old one. The L86 LSW is getting remodelled and will most certainly have exactly the same reticule as the current L85A2.

Re: British Marksman Kit
That British Marksman kit is very great. It's dead-on accurate when standing still, the view is larger so you can see more, and I found a use for the trip wires. Tip: Insurgent rallies, 15 minutes later and a little plume of smoke.
Since you're a long-range fighter, it's best to shoot from long range. This gun can take out anything 100m out, so you don't need to get close to be effective. Always find cover to duck behind, standing out in the open often equals death.

Re: British Marksman Kit
The fact that it has so little ammo is what irrtates me about it- especially when you compare it to the PLA marksman
Great bit of kit though, love the fact it's still got full auto; handy for helping clear out houses etc too.

I remember a DEV, Rhino i think, saying a while back that they gave it a bigger field of view deliberately to give it a bit more of an advantage over the standard L85. Otherwise it would just be an L85 with much less ammo and better accuracy.

Re: British Marksman Kit
all marksman rifles get 120 rounds, that = 3+1 mags for the LSW as each mag holds 30, the others have more mags, as there mags have less ammo...
you will run out of ammo more easily with this one, as it has full auto, which is very tempting to use
