better damage sytem (IMO)

Post by Conman51 »

iwas think that if some one gets shot or bleeds to death shortltly after being shot they just die!!!(or the critically wounded time is shortened to 10 secs)..because in RL if u get shot by bulllets..u cant just get back up and heal andf expect to take 3 more shots..but, the medic can revive some one w/ the full 30 second critical time if they were shot for example once...and they bleed to death maybe 5 mins later..THEN a medic can revive them w/ the full 30 second critical time... or lets say they fell out of a moving car and die..then a medic can reevive them w/ the 30 sec critical time...in a way this will make people value their lives( maybe even increasing the spawn time to 40 or 50 secs)because people know that once they go down their DOWN, or there is very litt;le chance a medic can get to u in time...

pleez gimme feedback if u think its a good idea

I agree, the devs should pool their money and hire a guy to sit next to Conman51 and punch him in the gut every time he gets shot in game...

ULTRA REALISM!!!

Fox, no need to be like that. Warning points for you, m'laddy.

Conman - spawn/revival time etc is something that's got one eye on it, I believe. As for the fact that reviving by medics isn't too realistic, it's supposed to represent getting the guy off the battlefield and patched up in a field hospital and saving his life that way rather than "magic defib will stop you dying from a bullet wound". It also provides a way for teamwork-orientated squads to gain an advantage over squads with no medic, or squads who don't use their medics effectively.

Actually the last thing we need is a longer spawn time X(

Sorry but I get tired of waiting a full minute to respawn when some idoit crashed the chopper I was being transported in.

But I also agree with you we need a better damage model.

I wouldn't mind seeing realism in weaknesses and strengths in the vests, as in if you shoot a guy in the side of his vest he goes down faster as opposed to shooting him directly in the center of the chest, where often times the vest is strongest, just my opinion.

The spawn/point punish system is a little messed up right now...
You get a min spawn for having the unfortune of a bad pilot, and -80 for being shot down on the runway on a jet...

In my opinion of course.. Oh wait.. thats not relelvent..
but I think the damage system is fine as is.

That's be because you shouldn't be taxiing the jet unless your airfield has AAA/SAM coverage up. If your team aren't working together to ensure one of your best assets is safe at takeoff, then I have no problem with you waiting 80 seconds to respawn.

The damage modelling on player models can't be tweaked really - it's pretty much three different zones. Head, body, extremeties.
