as written pages before, it could be used for special operations but it is no replacement for a 2 seater helo

OK Guys :) after hard working on main texture (most difficultly) i got:
1)Complitely bump 90% of all bolts (thousends of them),exist in real(created by viewing honderds of photo`s).Aslo even metall plate connections
2)All holes , symbols(99% placed on real place and exist,was very hard work to get them done).
3) what makes from new chopper ,old chopper who have been used in battles.
Scratches , old color , bullet holes , smoke dirt :)
Now stating work on next secondary texture for all small details it will be much easer and faster to finish this texture i think tomorrow i am done or other 2 days , if i will have done attaching color on uv , i will make new renders for preview so you will see again 1 big step in texturing.
P.S. thery good news i got this chopper to 3dsmax without losing uv map so if it will not work to export heli to game from maya i will do it from 3dsmax, because i have never done it before in maya. :) So just wait a bit for screens :)

Ok i have decided to show the final texture of hull , gonna start work on secondary now texture for small parts of ka-50 (details).
This time i have switched off bump , so you can see comlitely texture of bump not as 3d but as paint work. Take a look :) From this layer i gonna make bump :) Just try to think about how it will be looking in game :)

The model is great, I like it. Needs a lot of optimization though. But I'm a little worried about the texture. You sure it's final? It looks like it doesn't include global illumination, you know what i mean? Games don't have realistic lighting, they cant render indirect illumination and stuff like that, so you have to pre-render it and put it on the texture if you want the best result.

Great work btw, looks very good so far.

hmm strench have never done it before can you explain in PM , texture for old ka-50 have create the same way, i remember that have special named materials in 3dsmax to let bf understand is it metal so reflect envirmoment but have not created this stuff .PM me :) send me MSN, so we can talk.

Ok , here is screens of biug step in texturing , ofcourse secondary texture will need to have more dirt etc, on some parts will need to put more work bump etc but most is simple give color and dirt :)

Hi everybody again, after whiole day of hard painting second texture, i am tired pretty much ,wanna go sleep , tommorow starts studie again, so it`s late night right now and i have decided to take some sleep,and tomorrow with fresh head make this texture done and start work on last texture (cockpit).
Here is screens of what i got today done.
Hope in end of this week fly this chopper :) And make some video`s.
Hope you will like to fly this heli later :)

Yehaaa, i`m done with painting second texture dirt ,bump and all this stuff looks nice :) tomorrow you get screens and also tomorrow gonna start paint last texture :) cockpit texture :)

After work i came home and have fixed last 2-3 smallest fout`s in texture with dirt and all this kind work and have also started painting texture for cockpit.It will take not so much time as other textures ,what will take time is creating all this small speed , altitude , horizont,stuff
And finaly screens of fully done textures(only cockpit left to go) :)
Take a look at bump created by viewing 100`s photos),dirt ,etc. Smoothing groups coming as last in the end.
P.S. belive me or not but it`s my second time that i make my own uv map and paint textures for uv , first time when i was painting texture my self was for old ka-50 :) Sry for bad lighting in cockpit wana go sleep so fast as possible :)

ok , here is some update was very hard workijg with this texture , everything comlitely hand made , based on photo material. Now will be easy to paint rest of texture.

I agree, the poly-count on that is going to be insane.

A lot of people lag enough in the BF2 engine as is. You'll need to tone it down a bit.

That cockpit is fantastic. Not that the overall model isn't, but the cockpit is the best part :D

Hi everybody , wohoo its realy easy to texture everything now :) Only easy work.I have quastion to PR team can you post me here some minimaps fo maps where you maybe would put this heli if it`s done and work fine.I need this minimaps to paint navigation display (on the right side of tv-missle display).
P.S. have some problems to get coorrect shadows in cockpit , but it`s not important for this part of work gonna fix in the end of work.
