Law-80

Post by GR34 »

Why was the Awesome Law-80 replaced with the not so awesome M136?

I prefer the Law-80 because of its sights, They were easier to aim with and I think they had some zoom to them. Where as the M136 has a Massive front site post that makes it extremely hard to hit even a building at 150m+(Mainly in the destructible villages is AL Bashar).

One more thing Since the LAW-80 Fires a 94mm rocket and the M136 is 84mm wont that make the LAW a lot more powerful then the M136 one? So why switch something with a larger Caliber or something smaller Same question with they change from .30 cal to 5.56 besides the fact you can carry more ammo b/c of weait.

Currently the LAW80 is being phased out, with the ILAW taking its place. 'ILAW' stands for Interim Light Anti-armour Weapon (which is the AT-4 CS) and is meant to fill the gap between the LAW 80 launcher and the upcoming NLAW which will be a guided missile system.

Yeah it's a pity. I went and coded a functional spotting rifle for it.

If the SMAW rears it's head again it'll have a use. Gotta fix those animations though.

It sucks because of the cardboard-cutout sights. 3D sights like the RPG has would be great for the AT 4. I really hope it gets them cuz right now they are really **** for hitting targets past 100m.

So will we see in the coming releases this two missile systems?

The spotting rifle fires a tracer that mimics the trajectory of the missile, allowing the firer to have an idea as to where to aim.

So what you do is "walk" your tracers onto the target then fire your rocket.
