PR granade explosion sound?
I've been playing project reality for some time now and I was wondering why the sound of granade explosion is just the one from original BF2... Have the developers considered changing the sound?

There are other resources than to record it by yourself.cplgangster wrote:um yeh getting a ordanace range and the grenades and the sound recording hardware to do all this is easy to do. Hmm me thinks something is wrong with that.

Still its a lot of work for something you already have.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

if your suggesting ripped from videos that are say posted on youtube, the quality of the sound is jsut not good enough for the game,WilhelmTell wrote:There are other resources than to record it by yourself.
also the sounds Devs are busy on other projects, which are higher on the list of priorities than a new sound for the grenades

According to 'unscathed' by Major Phil Ashby, grenades are only $10 on the black market
Donate to Jaymz and I'm sure he'll get it done.
I bet the CIA would launch an investigation in to it lol, lots of money moving to one man to buy hand grenades...sounds fishy yes?
I'd like a new grenade sound as well.

I bet if you type in grenade sound effects or something like that, or even go to your local military base you'd get something

One thing I'd like to be changed in granade explosion sound is distance fade, as has been done to gunfire sound. Right now if someone throws a granade a mile away from you it still sounds as if it exploded right beside you, leading one to think their position is being attacked when it is not.

I may actually be able to help with this. I go running near Longmoor army camp, and they chuck grenades there all the time. Obviously I am not running right next to them, but they are close enough to make the ground shake a little. Interestingly my mile and a half times are significantly faster when they are lobbing grenades about! Next time I go I'll take a condenser and a minidisc recorder and see what I get.
