Bad day?

Post by Harrod200 »

Is it just me or has today been a really bad day for teamwork? I've been on a few servers and there wasn't any good play on any. I managed to get a decent squad going, but even then the rest of the team was useless. It wasn't just my side either; by all reports the opposing time was equally disorganised. No teamwork, nobody listening to the commander (when there was one), and no communication between squads...and this was on TB and other good servers I frequent.

So? Anyone else found today to be a really bad day?

as someone said on here once
game experience may change during the weekend

but i was on thors when you came on early and was on the other team i think that round was more due to two orginsed armour squads one dedicated anti air squad and some great havoc flying

*sigh* now that schools are finishing for summer, I'm guessing that the whole game's gonna go downhill until they go back again...roll on September.

-I played on one server with crappy teamwork, then one with great teamwork. The thing these servers had in common was that one side was filled up with clan members while the other side was mostly random pubbers. I think that every clan that has a populated server up should strive to balance out their members as the clanmembers vs. pubbers teaming just ruins the game for one of the sides. Even if the pubbers get good teamwork going they will rarely match the other side where people have been playing together for a long time. What usually happens is that there's a mass exodus of people from one side and sometimes the server dies completely. If it's just a few guys from the clan then ok, but if there's lots then they should spread out. I had one good game on the iGi server, then every iGi member swapped to one side, the other side got trampled and everyone left. It's no fun playing on your server when your clan does that.

I didn't think they'd waste time on PR as much as vanilla or another typical shooter. They try it, then they leave was what I figured.

today has been pretty lame (understament alert), earleir on thors brigade i encountered this bloke: YouTube - Project Reality Mod Must DIE!!! who teamkilled me for the kind comments i left on his videos :) , then later on my clans server i had a squad and a clan mate (frosty_mcownage :) what a ledge) had an AFK squad while he was gone, in my squad it was me and another clan mate (AP_geist :) ) some noobs joined and instead of joining my squad they join the AFK squad, so we had a 2 man sqd with a sqd leader, and a 3 man sqd with no sqd leader, complete idiots. At that point i left and never found motoviation to join again.

seriously PR is going downhill at the moment

People need to read the manual!!! thats the first thing they need to do before installing or playing.

Seriously there needs to be done something about this!

The only thing that can be done is to have a central database a bit like PB where all the smacktards are banned from PR servers.

In the mean time if you see one of these twats point them out to the server admins/owners so they can sort it out. Don't lower yourself to their level, this just makes them do it more.

P.S. Notice the paragraphs, lot easier to read.

AFAIK, actively admined servers share the pb codes associated with cdkeys, such as T&T which banned the aforementioned bumnutz (who was brought to their attention for impersonating a T&T member). They tend to share the codes amongst the server admins.

I had a fantastic time yesterday with some james bond-like moves rescuing and then owning with a tank with my comrade Wellink. T&T has some good games.

Even if I come from iGi I can feel your pain. I always try to get it so that igis on teamspeak try to balance out the server sides. BUt recently we've had a wave of new recruits that wanna play with the vets :? ??: . I often tries to go on the team without the all the igi guys on our server but it dosent help much :/ And I also want some fun with my clan members.

So for people on our server try to say that you dont like the balance of pubbers/clan members maybe it will help you out.

Anyway I have made this an issue in our forums and we will see whats gets out of it.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

Thanks Viper.

Yeah - we share hashes etc, so smacktards misbehaving on one server will find themselves banned from others.

If there would be a special 'Single-Player training' with different weapons, equipment and vehicles (AIR and GROUND types) which you would HAVE to pass with a certain 'score' before playing PR online, many problemes with noobs (if not even all) were solved.

You know what I mean? Something like the training at 'America's Army' which you HAVE to pass to play certain online classes and missions.

I don't know if this is possible anyway.

If not.. at least you could add a 'MUST READ the manual function' before downloading PR. You could add a certain time lets say about 10 minutes to read it and accept all rights before downloading PR.

Cheers. And don't be upset if already mentioned. 8-)
