Sniper Bug??

It sounds like about 90% of you posting here should never pick up the Sniper kit ever again You all are why Snipers get such a bad rap on this game.

All it takes is a little maturity to pay attention to what you are doing to figure out the Sniper kits. I make max viewing distance shots regularly on most maps. I've smoked all kinds of targets at long ranges, no matter what they are doing...

Sitting, laying, standing, walking, running, zig zag running and bunny hopping...

I love it when they think they can bunny hop to safety.

So... for most of you posting here, please, just let the big boys use the Sniper kits.

Well I go by RL methods such as target lead, bullet drop and bullet travel time to target all 3 of which are very difficult to discern if not unknowable in PR and some things actually not modeled due to the way bf2s shitty engine operates. I'm not gonna balk anymore, just trying to express my distaste how they currently behave.

Yes, i know what a ballistics chart looks like, maybe if you payed more attention to it you would understand what i was explaining. From what i see on that chart, that weapon would be zeroed to twenty-five yards and the muzzle would be an inch or two below the sights.

That rifle is zeroed to 200 yards, not twenty-five. The bullet and line-of-sight cross at 25 yards, that is correct, but it's not zeroed to 25 yards.

You need to figure them out like the rest of us have. You will not pick up any rifle in real life and bulls'eye an 800yrd target the first time.

If you are not willing to do it, don't use it.

Lilgeez, I think we were in the same squad that time (I was SL and an other guy was in the frogfoot).
If it was you, then I can tell that we were pretty effective. I was Specop and I was spotting targets for both Lilgeez(with attack marker) and the frogfoot(marker+laser target). I think they both ended up with 20+ kills and only a few deaths, played a major role in keeping the planes safe(geez taking out many inf guys with AA kts on command), and taking back a flag (keep enemy pinned and disoriented until reinforcements).

I think snipers are a big enough threat if used properly AND at the right time. Lonewolf sniping is a nono (of course you could still get many kills, but its not guaranteed that you have really helped your team), sniping with a spotter, and with a real objective (objective doesent mean to just lay back and kill anyone you see) makes the sniper good for the job its intended to do IMO.

I think the real problem rifle is the m40!!! Its a piece of **** in PR...THe best rifle is the mosin nagant it has the best accuracy of all the sniper rifles. they should just make all the rifles fire as good as it and ther would be no problems
