PR and USI
Is there a chance that we can explore US Intervention's MLRS, mobile artillery, mortar, support HMMWV (instead of those trucks we have now), and other vehicles? Not only are the models sexy, I think there's potential for balancing them into some of our new maps - and even some of our older maps, like Kashan.

the shilka thread is basically asking for the same thing, to add USI models to PR, and well, i kinda agree.

I would have added to the Shilka thread, but this covers much, much more than some Russian AA vehicle.

Mod teams have the right to protect their work, so they negotiate for particular things as I'm sure you know; we can't just say "oh, let us use all ur models plox."
Also, I can't believe people are still holding on to the hope of getting self propelled artillery, it aint going to happen people, the battlefields are too small for the MLRS etc. Be happy that mortars are probably on the way.

I don't think it was that particular support HMMWV.

Did you mean the repair HMMWV? If so I was thinking of that.

The one with no covered back and instead the sides are railed and open like the Support Truck's. The HMMWV has a big wrench in a circle on the doors to indicate a repair vehicle. That's the USI HMMWV I was thinking of.[R-CON]azn_chopsticks_boi wrote:Did you mean the repair HMMWV? If so I was thinking of that.
Anyways, I totally have to admit that USI does have a very nice-looking collection of vehicles that I would love to have in PR. The Avenger HMMWV, the M1A1 (I don't know, it just looks alot better than the vanilla M1 we use in PR, even though that is an A2).
I believe there is some sort of "exchange" system put in place between mods of BSS where one DEV team would trade something like PR's limited kits system for something else like USI's TOW HMMWV.

Isn't the TOW HUMMWV PR uses, USI's model and they are part of BSS so I think they would trade with PR.
USI does have some cool looking models.

I think I prefer the trucks. Something about large numbers of HMMWVs puts me off -maybe I've been playing to much WiC with lots of cheap trucks running around. Wouldn't mind seeing a canvas cover on the trucks though (make the riding troops less vunerable to infantary fire)
And I thought the TOW HMMWV was from Special Forces?

Re: PR and USI
no, the tow hmmwv in PR is the one from USI and not from SF.
i would also like to see the support hmmwv to come back, the trucks are currently overused in to many different roles, i would prever seeing them as transporters and the old support vehicles as commander vehicles

Guys in order to get these things the PR team must give them something. The PR team cant just take it even though there part of BSS.(Black Sands Studios)

Re: PR and USI
We can still give them limited kits, deviation/ballistics, the new M16, the SKS, a better AK, better weapon sounds, air vehicles + physics, and a few other things.
At any rate, if it gets us a laser-targeted artillery platform, it's probably a fair exchange.

Also think about it this way, modern Arty can fire from several miles away. It takes several men to operate. If it got in PR would only be on maps like Kashan and Qinling. Also it would take around 2-4 guys to operate. So thats 2-4 guys on on the front lines fighting.

FYI we already use their humvee 50cal on road to kiyong noob, its starngley put along side the dice one. The USI one is the one that you actually sit inside not stupidly kneel at the back.

Yes we all know USI makes some great stuff but, we gave them something so we could put that in the mod. The new hummer i hope will replace both EA/DICE and USI hummers.
