Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
Ahem, dude, in my opinion, thats not gonna work.....
Find a picture that has not been taken ingame, chances are a picture that large wont come out well on a T-Shirt, and it will be expensive to print too. A good bold logo is much easier to work with than a photograph......
If you do want to use ingame pictures, then a signature style strip might be a better way to go....

^Ahem, it isn't. Its a 3d model picture from 0.4 or 0.5(I think). It looks great, just remove the dogtags and move the pic up and its great.

But I have just made(what would) be PR shirt #1...check out this link to view it!
(#1 would not be sold to anybody, not even Rhino if he wanted it, I would keep it framed in my room, every other one would be for sale)!!
*candidate #1 for shirt #1*(if I can get my hands on a picture that does not say TOTALBF2 in the top lft hand corner)

Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
Currently you're still using PR copyrighted material; until you receive the go-ahead from Requiem or a red-tagged Admin acting on his behalf (for example, Eggman), you couldn't use anything that's copyright realitymod.com or published by this site.
Sorry to drive the point home so bluntly but that's how it is.

Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
Hmm ok, maybe I didnt explain myself well. Its not that its an ingame image, but that its a square computer image. Images are rectangular on a screen in order to fill the dimensions of the monitor. However there is no requirement for the image to be square on a t shirt, and most that are look like someone has just whipped a picture off a computer onto a t shirt with no imagination for a good design at all. It screams to me, 'Look I printed a .jpg of my favourite computer game onto a t-shirt, who wants to punch me in the face for being a dork?'LtSoucy wrote:^Ahem, it isn't. Ahem. Also, large images like those shown above are also very prone to cracking after a few washes
However, if you guys like em who am I to judge? Hope you get the permission, but I wont be buying one thank you

Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
Why not just design a shirt with a massive logo on the front? (You know, the ones on the DVD cases). Have the website name on the back, and your good to go!
Its cheap,
simple,
crisp,
explanatory,
and stylish (I guess). The only thing you would have to worry about is getting arrested for copy write infringement

Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
It's not about getting arrested for copyright infringements. It's about realising that a hell of a lot of work has gone into the mod and that the mod has to be careful - like any project this size - of the image and use of its name etc. It's about having some respect for the work that has been put into it, and not stealing the intellectual property rights of the creator of the the PR dogtags logo. For anyone who enjoys the mod that shouldn't be a very hard concept to grasp, I'd've thought.
Look, this is being discussed by the PR team. There's a possibility that the project to create an offical PR merchanise store might come back online, in which case having non-offical merchandise being sold through the PR forums isn't a great idea. On the other hand if the plan to start official merchandise is canned, then I'd've thought there's a possibility that sanction would be given to people to use various PR-owned images etc for their own, limited use on items like T-shirts.
In the meantime, just sit tight and if you desperately can't wait for PR goodies make your own stuff quietly and just wear em if you so want, but please do not start looking at selling anything using copyrighted material without the express right to use it, and especially not through this website!
That's basically slapping the team in the face and saying "First I'm going to nick your images, and then I'm going to reproduce it and sell it - and you are going to pay for the bandwidth for me to do it!".

Out of respect and because of copyright laws this will be the only shirt I will make guys, unless the devs give the ok to remake this image . sorry guys. And to be honest I don't think I would like to make another considering it was all done by hand, not like a silk screen.

"out of respect" would be not making a thing until the go ahead is given...that is copywrite infringement.X3DChris wrote:Out of respect and because of copyright laws this will be the only shirt I will make guys, unless the devs give the ok to remake this image . sorry guys. I have not made a thing because I am waiting for the okay to make something.
Although I must say that does look good, I'll wait for the official merchendise.

Aaaa I don't see a problem making something as long as your not making a profit off of someone elses labor . I think I would be happy if I knew someone was inspired by someone elses creative work. Again just don't mass produce it .

Re: Project Reality T-Shirt REDUX.
neutron we need a LOT better shirts then just copy and paste man, come up with something original, or just look at what chris did. He had a great example.
