Compass, sprint bar, and mini map
Hey everyone, Im new (to the forums) and I wanted to make a few suggestions to touch up on "realism". (i had done a brief search for this but did not find it) Why is there a sprint bar? just like there wouldn;t be a crosshair, floating in the middle of your vision why is there a sprint bar? as well as a compass, and a mini map which shows the location of all your friendlies? In real life you wouldn't have these things. i think the compass bar should only appear when looking through binoculars or something. (as well as vehicles) I also think the mini map should just be a blank map with the flags shown only, no friendles. same for the map activated when you press caps lock. are these things supposed to represent other things if so, I'd like to know. Thanks.

Re: Compass, sprint bar, and mini map
Because in real life you know when you're knackered and cant run anymore. In real life you have much better peripheral vision and can see where your squadmates are better. In real life you might have a compass on your watch or at least you can point at enemies to show where they are. In real life everyone goes through a briefing so they know roughly where other friendlies will be operating.
Dont forget this is a game.

Re: Compass, sprint bar, and mini map
sprint bar because managing your energy level is relevant and it provides the capability to know how "out of breath" you are.
not sure which version you are playing, but minimap is only shown in vehicles.
compass is an orientation aid because the fidelity of real life combined with the training of soldiers gives a much better orientation to direction.

Re: Compass, sprint bar, and mini map
I think the sprint bar cant be removed, because in Real Life you would know if you can run more or you are too tired to star run again. In game we cant know if we are able to run a lot more, so because of this we need the sprint bar.
