I think it is great to donate! DEVS spend their time working on the mod, you pay them a little bit.. Which is like a regular job really.
Except there aren't that "usefull" boss with a whip behind you yelling: "FASTER!!"
Like I said, it's great to donate!

Though, by the way, I dont donate. :D ;D :D ;D

They do get the "supporting member" bar and no ads, though. :)

Actually, there's us. The Mods. We are the law and the law is just, and we also run the infamous big black pit into which we sling any DEV who isn't working hard enough :D

"That's how it starts, Mas, with that warm happy feeling inside. Pretty soon you're rocking in the corner, a full grown dog addict, wondering where your next St Bernand is coming from..." - IAJTHOMAS
"Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post

To further illustrate my fellow moderator's point:

And us MODs have to get some benefits. The initiation rituals... *shivers*

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Donations are voluntary, so if you don't like it or how it's being used you don't have to donate. PR development (modding in general) takes up a HUGE amount of time. We couldn't ever hope to reciver anything more than 2 cents an hour, so it's not about that.

Additionally a website that has as much traffic as PR is not cheap to host. We probably spend about $1500 / year on hosting / svn / software.

And unless somebody drops in with a couple million dollar donation it's got nothing to do with future projects.

lol.. yeah right.

OK you donate a million and get your best friend to do the same, Eggman will trot off and buy the usage rights for the best game engine for PR v.2 and we'll all be singing your praises.

Or you could just donate $20 to help pay for the servers required to keep pr as it is.

I'll just give Dickkie Branson a call...a couple of million should be in the account in a few hours.
