Hello and thanks to USM

Post by RedLenin »

Hello everyone,
I wanted to introduce myself, but moreso I wanted to say thanks to the USM crew especially USM-ST3.Spyder. I had to leave before the end, but the tactics and training was top notch. Hopefully there will be more training sessions like these. I can only imagine what kind of fierce battles would rage if an entire server played with these tactics.
Thanks!

Damnit, I missed it.

Anybody find it strange that there are 2 threads about USM, made by people with only 1 or 2 posts?

Did these guys really just sign up to post one thread about USM? Or is this just some sort of publicity stunt using dummy accounts?

I mean the whole idea was awesome, and I'm sure the practice rocked, but this looks a little staged...

I could be wrong though...

Haha, if it matters to you that much, I used to post under the name ScrotaniumAlloy. I wanted a clean slate on my stats. You can think what ever you want though.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks you to all who showed up. We will host more of these to help keep reality mod going strong, which is why we did this not to be famous lol.

I retract my earlier statement, I just saw you on a server Lenin, sorry for jumping to conclusions.

However, there's really no reason to get all offensive. And putting words in my mouth by implying I'm not a team player, just because I thought something looks suspicious, is pretty low. :? ??:

Well, it was not my intention to offend or be offensive. Sorry if I was AznLB. However, I will say that I still think the smokestack killed me, not you. haha ;)
No hard feelings. Hope to see you in the game AznLB.

There was a training session on Saturday, I think there will be another on Sunday @ 3PM EST, see more info here.

The server is now called WHE Tactical Training PRMM server, but it might be called something different tomorrow. You will need Teamspeak 2 tuned to 70.86.234.202

lol @ the smokestack

Anywhoo...
I played on the WHE server tonight, however I really think there's some things the server admins need to change. At times, I felt like I was playing vanilla while I was there. The combination of the 20 second spawn times, constant artillary, no AAS, players doing nothing but running others over with buggies, and not much teamwork really made for a negative play experience...

I agree with Azn, I just played 4 or 5 rounds on WHE, and even with two WHE guys on the server there was virtualy no teamwork. Unless the server changes it's rules, it was just vBF2 with a dash of PR.

It bears repeating, that the USM training was very very nice, and I suppose with much more squad/teamwork & communication that the tactics could be used to a real advantage.

i'm sure the training was all good, but for the betterment of the community, if you guys could make a video of these training sessions... well, i'm sure alot of people who cannot make these sessions would be very greatful.

FYI i was there when they where training. I just got that game in that day and was the only server that ran the new version of BF2. They really helped out alot on new players like me. I participated in every tactical lesson they held on that day. And i am no dummy account, just a new kid in the block willing to spend his time on this community like the background said on the game, "Join our community." So :P

Yes we are currently about to create tactics videos. Right now we are getting the lines made its its as simple as possibe. We also will be hosting community training every Saturday. The only set back to the training was people rendomly coming in and shooting like it was a normal server.
