Pilot kit uneffective

I'm new to the game but I think I have a problem.

I create a local server,I join the Alpha team.I go right next to my team's flag.I ask for a pilot kit(T key,yes...)

Hq:your pilot kit has been issued(ssomething like that)

I pick it up(G key,yes..),I check the inventory:1 handgun, 2 colored smoke grandes,a Medkit, a Ka bar.

I go next to an aircraft,I enter it.The game says I need to get a pilot kit.I wait,hoping it's just a minor bug.No it isn't,I die...
Did I miss anything?
I'm in a squad, I have the kit... I don't get it...

It's the same on any map , any aircraft....

Thats odd, have you tried getting it from the aircraft instead of the flag?

I think you don't have the latest version of PR if the game says "HQ: Your pilot kit has been issued". In the newest version you will get a yellow message in the middle of the screen saying "your kit has been allocated and it's at your feet".

Make sure you get the latest PR version from our website links.

Ah,yes,I hadn't mentioned that.
The kit request doesn't even work near an aicraft.Actually nothing happens.
And when the message says it issued the kit it falls at my feet and I pick it up(I believe that's what supposed to happen,right?).I'll download the new version,thanks.
