Replace Iron Sight whit Red Dot Sight

Hey every one, i have an other suggestion *Yeah AGAIN*

Whit the new coming US Army whit the SS of an M4 whit M68 aimpoint, i was thinking "hey why Dev dont just remove iron sight riffleman and medic and replace them whit red dot sight ? Red dot have no zoom like iron sight, and its precision is the same.

The G3A1 Red Dot sight can be like this ( Very similar to the one used on AK74U in vBF2 ) :


The QBZ-88 can have this one :


And the USMC/US Army would have the M68...



Cause i'm may be wrong, but, i'm pretty sure "un-moded" weapon are gone from Battlefield... especialy in western army... even GPMG have scope..

No British soldier AFAIK has a red dot sight on his weapon.

Iron sights are still used in hot and humid environments due to the optics constantly steaming up.

British Corps are currently issued with the SUSAT on operations but normally use iron sights. This is due to change soon with the new ACOG style sight with red dot attachment coming in for the teeth arms and the Corps getting the SUSAT as a hand me down.

Ok may be just add a M68 to L85A2 ( for balance thing ) even if they dont use it. Cause like Markonymous said, not many soldier carry iron sighted gun during Conflict...

And i think its time to phase out stuck weapon, like praticly all modern army does... Even Russian use scope mounted weapon now...

Anyway, i still think it would be nice to have red-dot sight on all iron sight gun in game...

NO troops in the field use red dots that often because they consume battery power, but since most troops ARE issued a scope...but PR devs dont wanna give everyone a scope cause it would be unfair and ruin the kit's balances, just give them a red dot anyways.

Can we change this from map to map? On some maps, walking around with anything but a scoped rifle can be suicide. On CQB maps, scopes are completely unnecessary; in the case of the MEC, even using a 7.62mm battle rifle is overkill.

What PR needs is some variability in the equipment used on certain maps. In cases where scopes are superfluous, like one of the urban maps due for 0.8, they could be replaced with red dot sights or even iron sights; for the MEC, a 5.56mm or 6.8mm rifle could be substituted for the G3, and so on.

Red dot sight are made to be used whit both eyes open............. ??:

Honestly I'd like to have some sort of ability to change between iron sight or red dot in the spawn screen

That first scope is a Kobra, which *is* on the AKSU74 in vBF2, and would not mount on a G3. Secondly, I don't believe the Chinese issue a standard red dot, which HeavyZ will surely chime in on.

Bringerof: The US Amy issues tons of red dots, primary the M68 CCO (Aimpoint CompML2) which has a potential battery life of 10,000 hrs, well over a year. The ML3 has a life of 50,000 hrs.
