I made this thread to discuss the matter of the Medic problem, this one is that its hard to find teammates only with those 2 shouts, even id this has been discussed i decided to make an official thread. A problem with the 2 shouts: Its hard to find people in tall grasses and other covered terrains even if u have a general idea where he is, So I Have 2 suggestions

Simple one: Increasing the shouts from 2 to X number

OTHER ONE: Giving people who are critically wounded the option to send a beacon of a sort to be spotted, this has the risk of enemies seing it too so its realistic. Since having an icon in the screen when someone goes down is unrealistic Maybe having it appear briefly or for the time the beacon stays, IT may come in the form of a signal through a button on a radio or something or a colored smoke grenade, flare gun , etc.

I do believe this is being discussed in the Medic Gameplay thread in the developer diaries section, I do believe an increase was met with general approval.

Medics should be close to there squad and finding them should not be a issue. The shouts give people positions way already. I don't think a beacon is carried by each and every soldier fighting so when they get shot and are bleeding out can put up this 3 foot high beacon and tell a medic he is down. The ay it is now is fine but a few fixes are needed.

I agree that 3 "MEDIC !" shouts are needed... one for each 10 seconds. (You are critically wounded for 30 seconds, no ?)

Both of these ideas are good and have been suggested before.

About a year ago, there was also discussion of increasing the "man down" time past 30 seconds, allowing a critically wounded player to wait for a revive (2-3 minutes) or simply opt out and respawn as normal. By doing so, medics are given more of an opportunity to do their job without racing against the death clock during a firefight.

Don't you have an unlimited amount of "shouts" in vanilla ?

Sorry for the caps Graye, no mean to shout, :) ... Oh and Fuzzhead i just figured that you guys were able to do that based on all the extra-awesome stuff you have done.

Yea I also wondered, about the Vanilla, maybe steal the vanilla code an put it in the game (I dont know coding, im just using my logic, no mean to be a Smartass) ;)
