PR is about realistic war on the modern battlefield. Lately the US has added CROWS to their vehicles, Basically these are remote controlled turrets by the soldiers within the HUMVESS or Tanks..
this protects the passanger more, and is basically just more realistic. It doesn't really make much sense to have an armored car but your passanger is outside manning the turret.
with this CROWS system, found in the new Battlefield: Bad Company, and other games, and used by the US army, it would make sense to have it.
I am suggesting bassically, forgive me if i sound rude, the new CROWS system to be used in PR. The passanger would enter the vehicle as he would normally, but when he uses the 50, or whatever turret it is, he will be protected more within the confines of the vehicle.
To control the turret a monitor, similiar to what is seen as the passanger gunner on the attack helicopters would be seen, to control the turret. and the passanger wouldn't have to worry about ducking, and would still be able to fire in difiult sittuations.
