Re: real locations of the pr maps
Qinling should be more rocky and hilly, as the plains suggested by the map arn't very common in the mountain range....also if you could model in a panda that roamed the map. The actual terrain would make for hellish rounds, think Bi Ming but with steeper slopes, less forgiving drops, uneven footing and an even greater sight impediment with fog and all that.

Re: real locations of the pr maps
LOL, given the location of Qinling... there shouldn't even BE a battle of Qinling
it's a treacherous mountain range/ highland. It'd probably be hard to even have proper airfield up there and how are Tanks/heavy vehicles going to make it there?
Realistically, a battle in Qinling Mountains would be most likely be infantry jungle fights if they could even get there. But since probably 15% of PR population could point to where Qinling Mts. are on the map and even less know what the place looks like... the map's "fine"
Also, why put a panda there?
so you can shoot it and bring back a neat souvenir saying "I killed the last Qinling Panda" ?
My apologies if I sound like a punk. But this along with other bits and pieces in PR are simply hilarious... some bits are just hilariously sad.

Re: real locations of the pr maps
Well if India and Pakistan still insist on border skirmishes in Kashmir (world's highest battleground)in similar terrain but very few trees I'm pretty sure infantry operations would happen in Qinling, a modified version of the Uk v PRC river battle? Ok, the panda suggestion was a little flippant (it was quite late), but I think wildlife shouldnt be restricted to birds, possibly add in other animals such as rabbits to provide warning markers?
A decent part of China to put a map would be the Yalu river, the Chinese side is a built up modern city whilst the N. Korean side is still slightly backward, would make for an interesting counter attack map with crossing the river thje first priority before taking and holding various parts of the chinese city. Would be real too, China has a pretty large part of its army in the N.E. to protect against the Russians/US (from S. Korea)/Japanese (very unlikely).
I see you're IN China at the moment, what's the ping like? Also, isn't Bf2 banned in China? Sorry, am chinese so am curious!

No, BF2 is not banned. In fact, there are pictures of PLA troops playing BF2 floating around online and there are numerous BF2 servers in China. My ping on servers in the western hemi. is about 185~200... not too bad.
Anyways back on topic... Where is Operation Barracuda going to take place at?
