Kick for the sake of kicking?

Post by BirdShot »

Hi all.

I was playing a game this morning on the GloryHoundz server and having a blast getting pummeled on that Gulf of whatever map.

I actually ended up doing pretty well - but, for some reason members on the other team kept starting kick votes against me. The votes never passed and they neglected to answer me when i asked why. A squadmate mentioned it may have been because I had the high score.

Does this happen a lot? If so - why? I mean, this isn't a world ranking for money type of game, so it seems kinda pointless...

Thanks.

was it a clan or something

we have found that we are getting a lot of tards comming across from vanillia and doing vanillia things because they cant play as a team.

usually the forum members you will play against are friendly (the ones ive played with any way) so you were probably against someone who cant hack having a low score.

Its probaly the BF2CC bug, where for some random reason it says a player has started a kick vote / map vote when they acturly havent done anything. Most of the time this happens when somone joins the game.

I was afraid of that. They may have been clan members (it's hard to tell half the time with all the insane characters in some names..)

Come to think of it, it was the number 2 and 3 players from the other team. I just can't fathom why having the best score matters so much to anyone... honestly - do they get money or something if they win?

Edit - hadn't heard of that Rhino - thanks.

Nine times out of ten its because you shot them a couple of times it happened to me one night, i shot three clan members who were not on their own server several times and the kick votes flew thick and fast, if it wasn't one of them it was another, in the end an admin told them to say why or pack it in, needless to say all three left the server shortly after. I even managed to get myself banned from a german server for shooting too many of them, i wouldn't mind but my aim is atrocious, they were just throwing themselves on my bullets............

The kick vote bug can only start if someone actually calls a vote.

For instance, if player "X" starts a vote, and it fails, every player that joins after that point will start the same vote without even knowing it.

So, chances are someone only called a vote against you once, but it's still lame. Nothing to worry about though, kick votes never work.

but people dont know who killed who with the kill indicator removed?

but yeah i see SO many wafers on GH at some points. i dont get it, there are no benefits from playing PRMM (besides the inccredible amounts of FUN!) for vanilla players, so i dont get why they bother us on our servers from time to time.
