Can we please have a city map with a apache on it? I know everyone is going to yell at me overpowered!! overpowered!! but its not when you balance it with AA.

Basrah 0.5 had 2 cobras and 2 a-10 and still it was fun.

So it was no insurgency what gives they both used the aa kits and stuff.

Then what is so more powerful of them?

just a small advice :

Never place objects first.
First do a little tweaking to the terrain...although i know that fallujah is probably pretty flat (at least the city area). Make some hills and stuff for a rough image of your terrain. if you make it flat like that it will jsut become one map of 10000 out there, especially if you make it a city map with these stupid bf2 buildings.
And additionally: flags, spawns and vehiclespawns is always the last thing to do.

Thanks for the advice, but I was only planning on having terrain changes in the construction sites. No matter, I probably should have done some terrain changes between the us base and the city.

Even something small like a gentle slope can add something to the map. Rather then a completly flat surface add an area of some height, strategically important areas.

Take a look at al basrah's city area, there are many terrain variantion.... take the advice not to do mostly flat terrain, as it will really dull the map.

I know, I said I know, and for two that map wasn't going to have nearly as much desert space as Basrah.

Maybe this could be the US Army side of Fallujah if the other one goes to USMC as there was a presence of US Army there?

I say USMC always gets Fallujah. I'm actually using the original map that I was making for German Forces (before marcolnk made me a new heightmap) to make a Georgia-Azerbaijan map where basically the idea is that Militia have been giving parts for nukes to the insurgents. So, US sends a UN convoy in to neogiate with Militia, but the convoy gets blown up so US forces are sent in. It even has a field of unexploded ordinance (ie. mine models that won't blow up, they just look good, and might scare some noobs).

However, all my mapping projects are delayed right now because German Forces finally sent me the map they want me to work on.

So, I'll be working on Kakheti (region of Georgia that borders Azerbaijan) in my free time, and that way I can release it after US Army comes out. I was planning on putting an AH6 on the map anyway and USMC doesn't use those. So, US Army would be perfect for it.

I'll probably throw up some images of the map soon.
