General Suggestions
I have had a couple of idea, some very basic, some not:
(1) - Increase the number of seats on the black Hawk to 6 + 1 pilot. THis means a full squad can be transported adn the pilot can return the aircraft to ferry more troops.
(2) When bullets hit windows they create a mark on both sides. THis is far more exciting when driving and flying helos, whatching bullets cracks appear on the windows - yu know someone is shooting at yu.
(3) Squad leaders need more controls, it is very hard being a squad leader to control the squad. They need 2 options - a quick order e.g. stop, hold fire, engadge now, are we allready - a more detailed version of what is already there e.g. move there and then there and then attact, wait and this position for orders or support.
(4) Increase the Hunvee number of seats to 5 by have another man next to the driver.
(5) Make bullet casings stay for atleast 2 minutes, it is far more realistic and look very good.
(6) When a soldier shouts grenade or another important imdiate comment, only those nearest can hear it.
(7) I would like to see a whole vehicle make over, this means alot of things:
- Tanks have a crew of 3 a driver, gunner and commander. The command can stay inside the turret and has a 360 degree periscope. He most important ability is to be able to give basic orders e.g. move there, stop, reverse and identify targets. The computer prioretises them for the gunner e.g tank first, then APC...
- All APC have a crew of 2, a driver and gunner. The solders can see the interior of the vehicle but can also fire then own indervidual weapons, e.g M16
- To get in a vehicle you have to physical open the hatch, door and climb in. During this no one else can try to get in and the vehicle stop for 2 seconds to allow them to get on the vehicle. This means in a hunvee the doors open, this would could even be used for cover.
- Soldiers in the hunvee sit on seats not hanging off the back. More realistic and provides them with more protection against small arms fire, they can also fire they own weapons out the side windows.
- Pilots and passengers can duck while in vehicles, this means the driver will not be able to see but can not be shot through the windows.
- All aircraft need to have more options. I would like it if only the gunner in helicopers can fire weapons. The TV guided missile is replased with a laser designated one, where the gunner marks the target.
- The missiles on aircraft adn helicoptes disapear once fired, yu can see that a helcioper or plane has run out of missiles.

I dont think thats possible in the Bf2 engine but also in real life a vehicles door is no cover against 5.56mm bullets from assault rifles.Top _Cat the great wrote: - To get in a vehicle you have to physical open the hatch, door and climb in. Its more realistic that tanks are controlled by one person, because the one driver and gunner stands for a good tank crew. A 3rd commander position for recon would be nice, so he can warn the crew or even mark enemies.

HE also has the top mounted 50 cal, so he has a serious role. In a extreme version of this mod, where there was possibly a test you had to pass to drive a certain vehicle or there where serious stats about gunnary skill. THe roles would be allocated eg. best tank man goes to commander, then gunner and then driver because he take the least ammount of skill to drive.
But WHat do yu think about the other ideas?
P.S THE BATTLEFIELD ENGINE IS ABOSULTE RUBBISH -LOOKS GOOD BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS SO VERY VERY POOR AND CHECK THE INSURGENCY MOD OUT - looking extrmely good.

the squadleader needs both a "hold your fire" command and "fire at will" so when im trying to take my squad to flank the enemy, my saw gunner wont open up on the first hostile he sees. maybe we could actually set up some ambushes too. o and the average soldier needs "enemy down" to be added to the quick chat options

yes this has alos been brung up by me and manny other ppl in other topics. By the way I like most of the suggestions you collected here, specially the one concerning tanks. Having them with 3 different seats for each role could enhance realism a lot. For example, now tanks cannot scan the area for threats without moving the turrett and have a hard time trying to shoot while moving. A 3-seats-layout could solve all these problems. The same thing could apply to IFVs and APCs.

Ah, but this can be solved with a system that places value on vehicles.the only problem with having more seats in choppers would be having alot more idiot jet rammers
In the example of the "jet ramming", say each soldier was "worth" one ticket, the chopper 10 tickets, thats 19 total.
Now, to avoid unfortunate "ramming incidents from occuring often, make a jet worth, oh lets say 30 tickets.
That way, if you lose a jet, you lose faster. Simple really.
Obviously vehicles that haven't be "used" yet wouldn't make you lose points if they were destroyed (ie: someone camping your vehicle spawns to make you lose faster).
