The story of PR

If it is wanted i could write a short story (or several) about the conflict in PR and how it is started.

i am offering up my services as i enjoy writing short stories and perhaps it could be posted on the frount page of the mod site.

please post ideas here and they could well be used.

please stay on topic though and come up with realistic ideas so i can get started as soon as posible.

i would like this to be open for 6 weeks and then i can get started on it after my easter skiing holiday.

I have mentioned it before. I am less willing to wright a story now because i am wrighting a book (profetionaly) because until my citizenship is accepted i cant get a real job.

Ideas for a back story have been kicked around by some members of the Dev team. So, making a realistic back story is in the works, kind of.

ya, VERY good idea, one of the things I look at when I'm looking through new mods is if it even has a story planned out, and second, that its not some super cliche, barely thought out gas overtakes the city and turns everybody to zombies...

And Israel pisses off all the Middle Eastern countries, the MEC is formed, and the U.S. has to fight it

This was my idea for a general PR storyline a while back:

I think the easiest way to tie a plausible story together is have it nearly entirely in Asia (with smaller conflicts in Africa).

As i said before the US and UK are already in the Middle East, so the MEC could be played off (maybe) as Iran and Syria finally having enough of it and banding together to boot them out. At the same time, China's booming population and economy is hungry. They don't trust the oil coming out of the middle east because alot of it has been intercepted by the MEC for use against the US.

China turns to North Korea and offers better nukes if they will invade the south. This is because china wants to tie down the US and other UN countries there while they make a grab towards Russia. At the same time, they offer Vietnam similar deals to turn against the US and other Western countries by offer so much money or supplies for every Western hostage they can take (these rescue ops will allow for Special Forces to be used, though I dont know about there being hostages to rescue).

With the US and UK tied down in Korea and Vietnam, China makes its move towards recource-rich Russia. Here's where alot of Euro nations can be put in, Canada too. Snow maps all over the place with china making a winter crossing of the river (cant remember the name) that divides it from Russia.

From here, you can run wild. Japan could make a return to imperalism (the standing government isn't making much money off of exports because all the countries are buying war materiel.) So a bad guy with good promises gains power there, builds up the military (using China's aggression as an excuse.) And citing the death of many Japanese reporters covering the war in China at the hands of the Allies (western nations), even though the Chinese are responsible, launches another campaign in the South Pacific.

There you have snow maps, jungle maps, island assault maps, forrest maps, desert maps and so on all tied together (sort of). It's a little expansion on my first post here, hope it's a littl better.

Sounds good aprt from the fact other European country's and Canada are put in, it takes alot of work. The British are the main addtion first and hopefully another enemy after.

Mabey as i have stated before: Argentinia, Offers a hole new climate and has a reason to help the MEC and China; by helping themselves to the British Falklands Island.

Well the nations other than US and UK were meant as something to be added later as those would, as you said take a lot of time.

Yep, i think the MEC and Chin's need a few new additions and some modding themselves but its all up to the devs.

I don't like China and Japan both being enemies. No way they would fight on the same side, even indirectly. They hate each other too much, and I think Japan returning to WW2 style imperialism is a bit far fetched, even in this extreme scenario.
