I think I'll just let my teammembers man that HMG, since this will become a high-priority target.
I'll just stick around it with my rifle to see my teammates get shot-off of the .50
Anyway, looks nice..
how much freedom do you have when it comes to X and Y look-around degrees..
thingy..

WOW! Finaly a 50.cal with recoiling barrel! We need this version on the M1A2 SEP! Also any chance the Vbf2 M1A2SEP, and LAV-25 will be replaced like the HMMWV?

Re: [Weapon/Asset] deployable 50cals
May I make a suggestion? I'd put another layer of sandbags on the sides, so if you're on the same level of terrain you wont be able to shoot the user from the sides. As it stands that position is EXTREMELY vulnerable and would just be begging to be shot by scoped rifleman and snipers.
Also, on the whole replacing other 50 cals, can we get a replacement on the american 50 cal? For like the humvee? Cuz the current model is impossible to aim with because of the giant triangle that blocks your view when you press C.

change your geometry level to anything higher than low in your settings - no more blocky triangleColt556 wrote:May I make a suggestion? If I do that, my game crashes. Any way to make the mod work correctly without having to have a super duper computer?$kelet0r wrote:change your geometry level to anything higher than low in your settings - no more blocky triangle
P.S. My friends run on higher settings then I and they have the exact same problem.

I have seen that triangle too. Can't remember when, thoug. Since then I have fiddled with my graphics settings several times, and last time I was on humvee's 50 cal its iron sights were just like it should be.[R-DEV]Outlaw22 wrote:hmmmm thats a strange prob.... never seen that one before.
I would recommend the same treatment as for any other graphic anomaly: clear your shader cache.

[R-CON]Cp wrote:IIRC The vulcan AAA has a flexible ammo belt, though it looked abit strange.
I've spent some time thinking as to what could be used to actually represent or simulate a moving ammo belt from the box to the .50 cal itself.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:fed by the magic BF2 engine
I've seen no refs of tripods with ammo boxes strapped on the side.
The only thing I could think of is somehow looking into the effect that tracked vehicles have. You know, the effect of having the tracked vehicles treads loop over the drive wheel and the bogeys during it's operation while traveling over uneven terrain.
Maybe this effect could be tweaked in some manner to effectively represent a dangling belt as it's shrinks and stretches from it's attachment points as it moves, similar to that stationary vulcan AA.
Take the Blue Pill or take the Red Pill?

Looks great!
Only worry I have is how little protection the gunner will have while using it. You'd get your head blown off by a rifleman seconds after you start shooting. A low profile firing stance for the 3p player would be good or maybe a crouch animation like with the current MGs were you duck below the gun body?
