Suppresion effect

Post by Colt556 »

DarkWarrior made one and I put my suggestion for an alternate suppresion effect. I've also placed it in other threads, but every time a dev locks the thread. I want you guys (Devs) to actually read my idea, and tell me what's wrong with it, if anything, instead of just locking the thread. Yes this topic has been covered before, and hell maybe even my idea has even been suggested before. But I'm not going to search every post of every topic to confirm this. I'll post it in a topic when it comes up, and it'd be so much more efficiant, and curtious, for the devs to comment on it and THEN lock.

So yeah, can I get some feedback on my idea? THEN you guys can lock this thread, I'm just getting annoyed how every topic gets locked without the devs actually talking about the ideas presented, how are we suppose to know if you guys even read them? Kinda defeats the entire purpose of this forum too.

Anyways, here's the idea (Please comment on it!)

The suggestion was that you get a very light blur around the edge of the screen, and loss of hearing but the main kicker would be that while supressed your accuracy went through the roof. You wouldn't be able to hit the broad-side of a barn from 5 feet while suppresed. Which would require people to duck for cover to wait untill their accuracy returns. And lets face it, if you're getting shot at odds are you're gonna have shaky hands are unable to aim right. That's far more realistic then magicly going blind, and it achieves the exact same goal - making you hit the dirt and look for cover.

Suppression is being reworked, that is why they lock your threads, they have a plan, wait for them to show it to the community.

In before lock!

If they are changing it they should say so. It's unebeilvably inconsiderate to find your thread locked with absolutely no information. I mean all the devs ever say is "Allready suggested" or something similar. If they went "The suppresion effect is being re-worked for 0.8" how much you wanna bet the topic would be dropped quite quickly? I troll these forums a lot lately and nowhere have I seen anything indicating a change to the suppresion effect :/

I actually like this idea. I personaly don't like the blure efect but I can andersdand and agrea thet it was neaded.
But this seams to me like a good alternative to the blur efect and still gain the same goal.
Sorry for my English

They have stated that they are reworking the system in other threads. They have even given examples of what they are doing. Like the effect not enabling till the bullets have traveled like 20 yards or so. They just don't want to have to post the same thing over and over and over and over so they tell you it's already been suggested and lock the thread.
If brute force doesn't work.......your not using enough of it.

Locked... guess what, reposting won't help you.
