Instead of just starting one for battlefield 2,

I think if you try to make it for bf2, you will have way too much work for something what maybe even doesn't make it..

Because I can't stand the craptacularness and the lag fest that ArmA is, seriously, the game sucks, Sahrani Life is constantly plauged by idiot police who just go around on killing sprees, and the missions, gah, the sound files suck, the character models are glitchy and enviornments are flat. Sure, it was a good idea, but until ArmA 2 comes out or some serious overhaul of Arma happens, it can't comnpare.

In #2, I made absolutely no mention of a money system at all. All I posted was about housing that people could claim for free and use to RP.

Since you brought the point up.. I come from a community that uses a monetary system. Money whoring doesn't happen, since in the script, to buy items such as weapons, radios, medkits for RP costs money. It's an opportunity for RP. However, in BF2, this wouldn't work, and I agree, money whoring would happen.

I love the way you said I ruin RP just because I stated an opinion.

However, I agree, coding isn't necessary for good RP. But where I came from, there are so many people joining the server with the wrong idea and end up ruining the whole thing. I'm just trying to help, it's not my problem if you don't like that.

I agree that I had the wrong end of the stick here. My comments were posted based on an RP community, whereas this sounds to be more RPG-style. I'm fine with it, and it should work well.

Sorry, sounded like I was being a jerk.
It wasn't a personal attack, I'm just all for keeping coding how a player should act out of any RPG mod. Money and Job systems are just a bad idea IMHO. I would be content with just an area chat system (The one thing that can't be coded in :/ )

No problem. I get your point of view completely. :-)

The area chat system was something I was going to suggest before I found out it was impossible, which we'll just have to work around.. somehow. I can't really imagine RPing without it, but I still think this project is going to work out well.

Maybe you could just put up a password protected with PR .75 insurgency server until you can get it working properly. I'm sure if someone tries to find out the password it's to enjoy the game, not ruin it for everyone.

For talking to people in the local area/street next to you, use squads.

Have people out of squads most of the time and only squad up to chat. When you're around people in the same squad, you join them to talk, when you leave the area you leave the squad.

Doesn't let you talk across factions, but at least allows a level of private chat between players either using VOIP or L-chat that doesn't cause the global chat to be spammed to buggery.

I don't feel that much lagg on arma, but yeah.. there's also lagg in BF2 or PR.. sometimes..

About the spreekillers; Yeah there were/are not enough admins to controll those spree killers,.. but a RPM for BF2 or PR won't solve that.

Those sounds files.. you can download add-ons for that..
