FH2 have teamwork, but they are the "PR Veterans", i've seen a couple of PRM Devs yerterday..

The tank battle on FH2 is really great..i luv that mod. And its great in details, honestly, it have better details than PR.

But it lacks in teamwork, but PR have lot of it..

No, most fire missiles now from under the water. Only real thing PR could have is a air map of all water, its how naval battles are still fought each and every day there one.

I finally gave FH2 a whirl...man it's really an incredible mod but so far the teamwork is abysmal. I really think it could be improved and use many of PRs ideas. Some initial ideas: get rid of the minimap and instead put the long range markers that show up in 3d view at any range so you don't even need the minimap to orient yourself. Also WAY too many vehicles IMO. 32 players and each one of them can almost have their own! Yeah that's bad for teamwork. Everybody just running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Gameplay is just a total cluster...k trainwreck IMO. And very few players as well, that's pretty disheartening for something so well done in many respects. I think FH2 guys should do a little experiment and implement some PR ideas. What have they got to lose really since it seems nobody hardly plays FH2? Just my thoughts (probably better to go to FH2 forum but I'm kinda busy, maybe later).

You will get flamed hard if you suggest anything related to PR in the FH2 forums. ;)

I agree... and it seems that way with a lot of mods too. I simply can't play them because they all lack the basic need of teamwork. Interacting with other players is what makes games addictive (Which is why MMOs are so popular) and I think it's why PR is the top mod for BF2 last I can remember.

It's not that these other mods need realistic tank crews and all, but small things to encourage cooperation could improve them by a lot.

Thanks for the heads up. So I guess the current style gameplay of FH2 is what is desired by them then. Well that's a shame. I guess they are happy with 1 populated server full of mini RAMBOS all on their own missions with zero communication.

I think the reason they have so many vehicles is because North Africa was a battle fought mostly with tanks. So if its minimal tanks and maximum infantry then its not historically accurate which is what they ares shooting for.

When I played FH for BF1942 back then, I even noticed some teamwork.

CQB is another good mod. There aren't any multiplayer servers, but the singleplayer is good. About the backround, its pretty much Japanese SWAT vs. Terrorists, and its pretty good. I had to delete though because my computer was running out of space

I agree with that. Actually I used to be a hardcore tanker (anybody know what AB mod is?) in RO so I'm used to epic tank clashes. In historical scenarios it should be kept true to that no doubt. My experience was mainly referring to a night map (don't remember name) which has just piles of jeeps, trucks, light fighting vehicles etc. Literally people would spawn hop in a vehicle and take off 95% of the time alone with no passengers then go die rinse & repeat, really really stupid.

yeah prety much, go check out their forums, you can see people asking for PR gameplay elements in the past, they get flamed so bad by FH2 fans I think most of them dont bother posting another topic hehe

To each their own, try all the mods out, they are free afterall! For me, its initial gameplay and impressions that attracts me to the mod, but the community that keeps me around. PR has a very vibrant, growing community, and its great to see that they are willing to grow with the mod and enjoy the mods evolution!

Ouch: Image

all gamemodes/only populated @ 9:00 pm. I guess FH2 devs are happy with their decisions. I played another round today and it was one of the most pathetic regressive gaming experiences I've had in a long long time. I felt like I was back in time playing "boom headshot tournament deathmatch stat whore edition" with the way everybody was playing.

NAW is pretty amusing, especially considering most of the servers are running it with brain-dead bots, and godly miniguns, and guns with little-to-no recoil.

Hmm, it would be so awesome to have a carrier vs. carrier map!
